Oh, the joy of common sense!
What Vladimir Steblina brings to the fore is that we will never be able to get past the divisive racial history until we realize that we are only Americans. We may come from many backgrounds, from many cultures and from many races but we are only one nationality: American. Not Mexican-American, not And until we reject the idea that it is ok for political parties to divide us along class, economic and/or racial lines, E Pluribus Unum will be merely a very nice motto from our Founding Fathers.
