Dissonance and Victimhood

Dissonance and Victimhood

An excellent read on why the leaders of the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrat party promote the idea of victimhood among their supporters. It is much easier to control people and get their votes if you pander to their victimhood even though you don't plan to ever actually do anything to improve their economic or personal condition. The strategy goes hand-in-hand with the divisive nature of the Office of the President and the Obama Regime and helps in their attempt to create and expand the permanent underclass that is absolutely necessary for socialism.

Imagine the conflicting dissonance of Barack H. Obama. He's adopted victim status his entire life, and even attended a church for 20 years where it was preached, but he gets elected to the highest office in the land. He sees himself as a champion of the underclass on one hand telling America that "at some point you've made enough money," yet he made over $5,000,000.00 last year. That's some serious cognitive dissonance to have to overcome! But despite Obama's adoption of "victimhood" I believe that he privately sees himself less as a victim than as a member of the ruling elite with all the privileges and rights that are attached to that lofty class. This actually takes no imagination to see this because once you watch him speaking in public as he lifts his chin and looks down his nose at those over which he rules and soaks up the adulation of his loyal subjects, you know it's true. He is the elitists elitist. Well versed in victimology and how to use it to rouse his base by the likes of Saul Alinsky.

Saul would be proud, I am sure.
