Philadelphia Phillies Ace Roy Halladay Pitches Perfect Game
Sometimes we need a break from the steady commentary on politics and this is one of those times. And you might say that the Memorial Day weekend was a perfect time for it to happen.
Pitching a perfect game is one of the most difficult efforts in all of sports which is why it's only been done 20 times. And to think that it was the second time this month that we were able to see it done is quite amazing although, as the linked story will tell you, it was done twice in 5 days back in the 1880.
It was a remarkable performance by Roy Halladay who will certainly be in the Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown as soon as he is eligible.
