The Audacity of Thuggery

We can never dismiss Liberal Democrats or Union Organizers as stupid.  Cunning and devious are good descriptive terms as is unethical and, sometimes, “criminal.”  But they are not usually stupid.  We can’t, therefore, look at the ruling by a Dane County, Wisconsin, County Judge as stupid, per se.  I’m sure that Judge MaryAnn Sumi did not believe that her familial relationship with a political operative who was a former lead field manager with the AFL-CIO and a data manager for the Wisconsin SEIU State Council, would come to light as her son’s name is Jacob Sinderbrand.  She had no reason to believe that it would be revealed for, after all, no one had mentioned it after she refused to issue an order sending striking Wisconsin teachers back to work in February during the height of the anti-Walker demonstrations in Madison.  I mean, she got away with it once so why not again and again and again?   

So last Friday she quickly issued a temporary restraining order at the behest of the unions and their Democrat supporters that prevents the Wisconsin Secretary of State, Democrat Doug La Follette (who really didn’t want to publish the law anyway), from publishing the bill while she reviews the case.  I cannot believe that she is that ignorant of the law, although I fully realize that judges are sometimes amazingly ignorant.  Nor can any thinking person given her son’s prominent union activities.  No, this was clearly a case where Judge Sumi decided that she would use her judicial power to trump an action with which she and her son disagree.  It is a case where democracy be damned, the judge knows better.  (See:  http://www.redstate.com/laborunionreport/2011/03/21/wisconsin-judge-maryann-sumi-her-seiu-afl-cio-political-operative-son/ .)

Liberals, i.e., Democrats, and unions do understand how to use judges like MaryAnn Sumi to accomplish their goals despite the will of the people.  They are very adept at getting their issues before activist judges who believe that their mission in life is to impose their liberal-view of the world on We the People whether we like it or not.  We are, after all, the proletariat and have no right to question the determination of our ruling liberal elite.  This is amply demonstrated in the thuggish attitude displayed at a Western Maryland correctional facility recently when a union boss lost his cool and tried to intimidate prison guards after they started asking questions how their dues were being spent and the benefits of belonging to a union during a pre-shift meeting.  (See:  http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/mar/20/union-boss-goes-off-at-meeting-prison-guards-say/?utm_source=RSS_Feed&utm_medium=RSS .) 

What is true is that Liberal Democrats and unions will brook no questioning by We the People.  The prison guards were told that union spending was none of their business ant that they have no choice but to belong.  If you dare to dispute, they are most willing to resort to violent tactics or, at least, the threat of violence.  Who can forget the bussed-in union demonstrators at the suburban Maryland home of a senior banker last fall who were escorted there by Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police Department.  They frightened the man’s teenage son, who was home alone, so badly that he locked himself in the bathroom and used his cellphone to plead for help.  And then there is this very recent nice little video of SEIU protestors at another bank headquarters:  http://biggovernment.com/eyeblasttv/2011/03/21/watch-seiu-protesters-take-over-bank-headquarters/ which was clearly meant to send a chilling message:  “Either it goes our way or we’ll show up at your house and, gee, you’ve got a nice family there, don’t you?  It would be a shame if something happened to them.”  

Al Capone couldn’t have done it better.  And he certainly couldn’t have done it with the protection of the President and his Attorney General.  The SEIU and the AFL-CIO clearly can; and pure, unadulterated thuggery is just one of the tools in their bag of tricks, albeit the one they use with great relish.  

But wait, you ask, didn’t We the People speak last November and repudiate the Liberal Democrat, pro-union, pro-tax and spend agenda?  Yes, we did, but they don’t plan to listen.  Those who would be dictators usually don’t.  Nor do they care about the outcome of any election except the ones which they control.  They care only about retaining the power that they have regardless of what elections, laws or courts must be perverted to do so.

What we have in public employee unions is a racket the likes of which would have pleased organized crime figures like Al Capone or any of the reputed Mafia godfathers.  Once the union gets into power they have almost unlimited resources with which to maintain their power.  The dues, which ultimately come from the deep pockets of the taxpayers and are just passed through the hands of the government workers, are deducted directly from the paychecks of the employees and deposited to the union’s account.  With the steady flow this money they fund the political fortunes of politicians ranging from the local school board up to and including the President of the United States.  At the local level they are usually successful in installing people willing to ensure that the demands of the union at the bargaining table are met.  And why not?  No elected official is charged with making a profit so there is nothing to protect.  Taxes, after all, are taken from the public who have little say in the day-to-day operation of the local government entity, be it a school board or a local government.  And on the legislative level it behooves the liberal Democrats and their RINO co-conspirators to support the needs of the public employee union because that is where they get their much needed campaign funds. With union support they are sure to win because no one is as adept at ensuring an election as a union which can line up its members and march them to the polls to vote in concert with the union’s wishes.  Doubt it?  How do you think Harry Reid kept his seat in the Senate last November?  Do you think that all those SEIU employees from the casinos in Las Vegas made up their own minds to take the same buses to the polls to vote all at the same time?  No they were told what to do and they followed orders.  The money keeps flowing from the public coffers through the unions--who ensure they take a generous cut, by the way--and back to the accounts of the politicians who raised the taxes and favored the unions.  It’s money laundering, pure and simple, but those same politicians will never declare it to be illegal even though it smells even worse than laundered drug money which, when caught, is severely prosecuted.  

But it has to stop.  It should be illegal for any funds that come from the taxes paid by the public to be used for any political purpose no matter how it is laundered.  Public employee unions should be absolutely forbidden from making political contributions because it places public employees in the position of being part of the ruling elite instead of the public servants of We the People.  It’s time to step-up and say so even though we can be sure that liberals, Democrats and RINO parasites will never agree to cut themselves off of the public money teat.  As for the unions, they will try to frame this as a violation of their “civil rights” when there is no such right as evidenced by the fact that every president up to JFK absolutely refused to allow public employee unions.  But they won’t stop until absolutely forced to do so and they’ll fight, even if they lose in voting, with the help of activist judges like MaryAnn Sumi.  It has to stop.  The taxpayer can no longer afford to pay for outrageous public employee pensions and benefits and have those taxes used to support the party (Democrats, of course) that keeps increasing the taxpayer’s burden by increasing the pay, pensions and benefits.  It must stop.

As I write this I still see the chattering class on TV trying to dissect Sarah Palin's video.  It amazes me that they--both on the right and on the left--still struggle mightily to find ways to discredit Palin and maintain their air of superiority in all things pertaining to man.

It is unbelievable that the chattering class would have such a totally different view from the Americans polled as reported in the linked article but it is clear that they do.  I suppose, as part of the elite, they do know better than everyone else.  I actually kind of like Sarah Palin partially because of the low-lifes who have been attacking her the last few years--just check-out the photo-shopped photos of her on the net to see how imbecilic the ad hominem attacks have been--and partially because what she says in her speeches and in the video does resonate.  I don't know about her for President but, considering the current occupant, she looks good to me.  However, that she looks good to me is not important.  It is how she looks to Independents that matters because the party that can secure the Independent vote will secure the White House.

Call for Bipartisan Seating at the State of the Union

Let's have everybody sit together so it's not so obvious how much support our dear leader has lost.  We wouldn't want him to begin to doubt himself, now would we?  Well, would we?  

Once again Michelle Malkin's blog highlights a move by liberals and RINOs that is designed to weaken opposition to President Obama during and after his upcoming State of the Union Address.  Republicans who sign on to this proposal might as well form their own "Lapdog Caucus" because they are playing right into the Community-Organizer-in-Chief's hands.

Think about it.  This will be the first State of the Union since the Democrat's were so soundly repudiated last November.  Obama is politically weakened by the defeat but in order for him to regain the initiative he must water down the appearance of defeat when he appears before Congress.  Last year with the Democrats in control more than half the chamber was giving him standing ovations when he laid waste to Republican opposition and insulted the Supreme Court.  He is desperate to not look weakened during this year's speech so he and his Regime have come up with the novel let-us-all-sit-together-to-show-unity idea on the heals of Tucson and some overly sensitive RINOs have already signed on.  They might as well join the Democrats in a chorus of Kumbaya as they roll-over to have their tummy's scratched.

The impact of having the Republican-side of the aisle clearly and purposely sit on it's hands during those parts of the State of the Union that are clearly written to promote Obama's agenda is not only necessary, but required by the electorate.  The Republican majority came about not because we wanted everyone in Washington to just be friends and cooperate in what heretofore has been a program of bankrupting our nation to promote an agenda that is abhorrent to an increasing majority of We the People.  We the People want Obama to look out at his shrinking support, see the reality seated before him and realize that his ideas have been wrong and that he needs to reverse course.  The proposed interspersed seating dilutes the impact of November's election and gives the appearance that the victory by the Republican's was not a statement by the electorate that Washington is taking seriously.  It says that Obama is still as politically strong as he was last year when nothing could be further from the truth.  Most importantly for Obama, however, it preserves his ego and allows him to deceive himself as to the correctness of his actions during his first two years in office.

And if those Republicans who have already signed on to this idea don't get it, they should remember that they will again come up for election and this time the electorate will be really upset.

But how about that stupid, job killing law that mandates the demise of incandescent light bulbs while mandating use of fluorescent light bulbs? You know, the ones that contain mercury that will endanger our children when they break, that require special disposal methods and are all manufactured overseas?  What are you going to do about that sterling bit of legislative stupidity that should have never been enacted? Or is your memo a fabrication just so you can get the committee chairmanship?

I wonder why Conservatives would be against the new lightbulb law that outlaws incandescent light bulbs in the very near future?

Could it be that Conservatives object to a law that has moved all lightbulb production overseas thus closing American factories and eliminating American jobs?

Could it be that Conservatives, thinking the problem through, realize that the new law causes more environmental problems than it solves with its mandating of mercury-using CFL bulbs which cause a hazmat problem when they break?

Could it be that Conservatives believe that the federal government is over-reaching when it dictates the amount of water our toilets can use to flush, what kind of light we can use to read or light our bathrooms?

Could be.

Representative Fred Upton is clearly a Republican in Name Only and he just doesn't get it.  He needs to be replaced right along with the rest of the Progressive Liberals in 2012.  Don't forget his name and donate to his opponent before they actually do create a "Green Police."

Bald Eagle Music Video "This Is America" (AEF)

The link to this video was sent to me by Chuck, a boss from times gone by and an old friend still. It brought to mind the thought that America's freedoms are much like the Bald Eagle was at the time this video: Endangered. The Bald Eagle is now off the Endangered Species list but the freedoms paid for with the blood, sweat and tears of our Forefathers is not. We are under assault from without by those who would destroy our form of government and substitute a foreign theocracy that they alone control. We are under assault from within by those who would stupidly pervert our Forefathers words to mean that a socialist form of government was what they envisioned and what we need. We must continue to resist both for surrender is not an option.

Our military is actively engaged with the forces from without who would destroy this nation. This coming November 2 we will have an opportunity to push-back against the socialist encroachment fostered and led by Obama, Reid and Pelosi. As our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines do their job, let us do ours. Vote to rid the House and Senate of Neo-Libs and RINOs on November 2.

Harry Reid is a Neo-Lib Democrat politician (for the Libs out there that's very similar to a RINO politician) that only thirsts for political power. He could actually care less about what We the People think but every couple of years he has to pretend that he does. In this case his read of Reid history is, at best, laughable.  Harry, you see, believes that voters don't remember anything and will do as they are told.

I was raised by a man who lived by principles. My father believed in voting but never discussed who he voted for as a matter of principle. He dealt fairly with others as a matter of principle whether it was selling cattle or buying a new horse. He was a man of the land who believed that men should be treated as equals unless they showed themselves to be unprincipled then at that point, he would have nothing further to do with them.

As you can imagine, he didn't have much time for politicians.

"Joe the Plumber" thus strikes a chord with his opinion released on Big Government. Washington has operated without principles for far too long and it was never more clearly demonstrated than when RINO Sen. Lindsey Graham (r-SC) (Note: The lower case "r" is not an accident in Graham's case.) announced that he would support Elena Kagan's nomination to the Supreme Court. If Graham were a true Republican he would oppose Kagan on principle for her views are clearly an anathema to Republicans, especially Conservative Republicans, throughout the land and, I am certain, in his home state. I would daresay that his position is a greater embarrassment to Conservatives in the state of South Carolina than Bill Clinton's oral sex escapades in the Oval Office were to the nation as a whole.

Principle. A simple three-sylable word that is apparently unfathomable to Washington politicians. It is something that We the People sorely need and want in Washington but it is something that will continue to be elusive unless we turn-out as many incumbent politicians as possible in November. Our collective votes will decide whether our Nation will return to the principles of our Founders or whether the future of the country will be ruled by Progressives who view principles as an archaic idea and who hide behind the labels offered by our two-party system. We the People are the only ones who can force politicians to be principled for they have clearly demonstrated an inability to remain principled when left to their own devices.

I must agree with Scott Brown that families should be off limits; but he should know that no matter how many times he crosses the aisle to support questionable Neo-Lib Democrat legislation, i.e., the Financial Reform Bill, his Republican label still makes him and his family fair game to the self-certified, unfunny comedians of the Neo-Lib left. They do not respect anyone who is right of center on any issue and feel it is their duty to attack them with the same zeal as a 7-year old boy with a magnifying glass, an ant hill and bright sunlight on a summer's day. Scott Brown should realize that their thought process is even less mature than that 7-year old.

You would think that Scott Brown would know better but clearly he doesn't. His support of the Obama Regime on financial reform is not unnoticed by Conservatives and although he campaigned and won on the idea that he would go to Washington and oppose the socialist policies that voters don't like, it is becoming clear that he is a RINO. Unfortunately for him and his family, RINOs get no respect from either side of the political spectrum.

The Neo-Lib Democrats are fond of talking about "America's addiction to oil" and have begun shifting the blame for the oil spill to the American people. They want us to feel guilty about the oil spill so we will acquiesce to their Cap & Tax/Climate Control program like good little slaves. They want us to accept the punishment for our "addiction" in terms of higher taxes, higher energy costs, a lower standard of living and increased control of our daily lives by the Federal Government. That's what they want and that's the purpose of that phrase.

Not me.

I believe that the blame for BP blowout in the Gulf, insofar as the actual blowout is concerned, has yet to be determined. We do not know, but do suspect, that BP's standards were too low. We do not know if a supplier gave them a substandard part but that could have happened. We do not know if it was something that was caused purely by the depths at which they were trying to drill–although this is clearly not the real issue as Obama approved a $2 billion loan to Petrobras (think major Soros investment) for a well that is more than 3 times deeper off the coast of Brazil. No, the blame for the accident regardless of technical cause, lies directly and solely with environmentalist idiots who have pushed oil drilling out of areas where it can be done more safely and with less risk to the environment. The blame for the blowout lies with those who have a vision of a world where people just float through the air through the power of their brain and energy is garnered only from the sun. The blame for the blowout lies with Neo-Lib Democrat politicians, supported by some RINOs of course, who use fairy-tale environmentalists with visions of doom to advance their own political agenda of total government control by the ruling political class over a permanent underclass. That's where the blame lies! It lies with people like Al "the Overheated Poodle" Gore, John "I served in Vietnam" Kerry, Nancy "the Nanny" Pelosi, Harry "Screw the Country" Reid and Barry "I Will be King" Obama. It lies with those who see the control of the energy industry as a way to wealth and, above all, total political power.

It is not America's addiction to oil that is the problem. It is the Neo-Lib Left's addiction to power that is the danger. "America's addiction to oil" is a lie. It is nothing more that a focus-group-chosen phrase that the Obama Regime believes can be used to make Americans feel guilty enough to accept their draconian energy plan. Nothing more. Nothing less. It is part of their talking points and you can expect it to be trotted out almost daily if they see it working. And if it doesn't work or starts to grow thin on the ears of We the People, then they will come up with a new slogan or phrase, designed and chosen by another focus group, to make us willingly bow our heads and accept slavery.

As I said above, not me.

LAPD lobbying to end gun rights

Remember when Obama said that he wouldn't try to take away the guns of honest, law-abiding Americans?  When you see the bill that was introduced by his party it is clear that was just another lie that he used to get elected.

This is a bill that should not be passed.  It is a direct assault on the Constitution on both the Due Process and 2nd Amendment grounds.  Worse yet, it doesn't address the problem because it's not meant to address the problem.  It's meant to be a tool that the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats can use to abrogate the 2nd Amendment and, like the thieves of Tammany Hall, ensure that only the ruling elite and their supporters have that right.

Imagine, your name is put on a list of suspected terrorists by someone you don't even know because maybe, just maybe, you wrote a harsh letter to a newspaper, a Senator or a Congressman.  Or maybe you belong to the NRA or write a blog like this one.  Then you go down to buy a new shotgun to hunt with and, WHAMMO!, your purchase is denied.  You ask why and the dealer says he doesn't know.  All he has is a rejection on the instant check through the State Police.

You ask the State Police and they say they don't know anything and all they have is that it's "Federal."  You go to the FBI, ATF and the Justice Department and are met with blank stares and shrugged shoulders.  Now you know that in order for you to buy a shotgun to hunt with you will have to hire a lawyer and file a suit in Federal Court.  So you have the money and you do so.

All your attorney is given is a heavily redacted document that makes no sense.  The judge can't even see the full file.  The government's position is that it can't be revealed.  You can't face your accuser because the government won't identify the accuser.  You can't call witnesses because the government won't show you the full accusation.  You are in a system that would make Joseph Stalin smile with pleasure.

And they plan on doing it in the name of making us safer.  These Senators, liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats all, along with enablers like Mike Bloomberg and Chief Kelly and the Chief of the LAPD, absolutely plan to take away the guns of honest, law abiding citizens.

I guarantee you that Barack H. Obama will sign the bill if it gets to his desk.  He knows he lied but that was to get elected.  Now he has to consolidate his power as fast and far as he can so he can retain that power.  And if not him, the next socialist president.

S. 1317, titled "Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009" should actually be titled "Denying Any American a Firearm Just Because We Say So Act of 2009."  It gives Eric Holder, the worst, most incompetent Attorney General in history, the discretion to deny anyone the right to purchase and own a firearm not based on Probably Cause but only on mere "suspicion" and "belief." It is a direct affront to the Constitution and a slap in the face of all law-abiding Americans.

To make matters worse, there is a companion bill, S.2820 that is titled "Preserving Records of Terrorist & Criminal Transactions Act of 2009" which is in fact a national gun registration bill.  No gun sale is exempted even if the person isn't on the nebulous "Terrorist Watch List" so it's clear that all Americans are considered "Terrorists & Criminals" if they buy a firearm.

Contact your Senators and Representatives now.  This is something that must be stopped.

And make sure you donate to whoever is running against Senators Lautenberg, Schumer, Levin, Reed, Feinstein and Whitehouse.  These people need to become unemployed as soon as possible.

Finally, if I were a New Yorker, I'd start thinking about what Mike Bloomberg, who got into office as a closet liberal-progressive-socialist in RINO clothing and now acts more like a petty dictator who wants to tell everyone else how to live their lives, has really done for New York City.  Are your taxes lower?  Is business better?  Do you enjoy life more?  If not, then you should fire him next election.  New York would be better off as New York, New York, rather than as New York, just-like-California.  (Broke, over-regulated and over-taxed.)

This is an excellent offering from a documented alien, Mark Steyn, on the issue of Arizona and the limousine liberals who, appalled at that state's new law actually addresses the problem of illegal aliens, have stoked the fires anger to promote demonstrations by their left-wing, useful-idiot, base. I am sure that if today's events around the nation were reported accurately it would reveal the stark difference between the left and Conservative America. There will be flags flown by the left but, unlike the Tea Party, many won't be U.S. flags but flags from Mexico as part of the reconquista movement. There will be violence and none of it will be caused by or supported by the conservative Tea Party movement. There will be outright lies told and non-existent "rights" claimed, with again none of it coming from the Tea Party. The total picture, if the Left Stream Media were to present it, would show non-American citizens demonstrating–sometimes violently–for a say in a country in which they have no right of residence.

But we all know that the Left Stream Media will not tell the truth about the illegal immigrant issue. As part of the limousine liberal crowd, they support the movement because it helps to create an underclass upon which they can rely for support.  And of course the political elite utilizes that underclass for political power. Their cronies in business continue to employ them despite laws prohibiting the practice so they can exploit the cheaper labor. Even the liberals themselves exploit them as their maids and gardeners and then, as Steyn points out, to "assuage their guilt" over the exploitation talk airily about human rights and open borders. They don't want to actually solve the problem because, hey, do you know how much they'd have to pay their maids and gardeners if they were legally here and could demand regular wages with payment for FICA and other taxes along with health care? (Not having to pay for their house-help's health care just one of the many reasons that limousine liberals love national health care. With that in place they can exploit with less guilt and less cost to their own bank accounts.)

Liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats and RINOs keep saying that illegal immigration is a complex problem that it is too difficult to resolve and they use that as justification for doing nothing. That is, of course, an absolute falsehood. It is a big problem but not one that is too difficult to solve. As a matter of fact, it is very easy to solve with just a few steps.

Step 1: Secure the borders. Without a secure border illegal immigration will most assuredly continue but the liberals always raise their hands, roll their eyes and say, it's just too big and we can't build a fence that long. That's another lie because building a good fence is not as difficult as building the Panama Canal; and we if we could do that, why do they think "it's just too difficult?" Congress could make it happen if they wanted to make it happen and that's the key. The liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats and RINOs don't want it to happen because they see the need for a permanent underclass.

Step 2: While securing the border, rewrite the laws on immigration getting rid of the immigration judges and interminable delays required for deportation of illegal immigrants. Make the time from initial arrest to actual deportation a maximum of 72 hours and keep it there. It's not a kangaroo court. It's called enforcing the law. And once they've been deported the first time, there is no legal re-entry. Any caught after that face felony criminal prosecution and prison.  And by the way, being here illegally must be a crime in and of itself rather than a "civil" violation that the left now claims is the proper term.  (What is there about the word "illegal" that the left just doesn't understand?)

Step 3: Tell Mexico that if they wish to continue to receive the substantial foreign aide that they now receive, they must do their part to prevent their citizens, and citizens of third countries, from using our shared border as a pathway for illegal entry into the United States. Their government-authorized distribution of maps and guidebooks on how to illegally enter the United States must stop immediately.

Step 4: When rewriting the immigration law ensure that there is a provision for the quick issuance of work visa's for Mexican nationals at the border, or at U.S. Consulates for all other nationalities. Require immediate action by U.S. Immigration authorities on work visas for Mexican nationals and the immediate issuance of a pictured, biometric identification card and a tax ID number that can be used to properly withhold taxes when the immigrant finds a job. (No, they don't have to already have a job. When they sneak across the border they don't, so why try to complicate their need for work or create red tape by involving our own bureaucracy?) There are those who will say that we can't do it immediately at the border because we must check for gang membership, criminal record checks, etc., and to this I ask, "Is that being done at the border now?" Of course it is not. Illegal immigrants and the criminals among them don't check-in when they cross the border. They just wade the river. Honest people do and will check-in and follow the rules and it's them that we must serve. As for criminals who plan to pretend they are honest–something they don't do now–it will be a one-strike and you're out law. Come here. Work. Pay your taxes. Live. And obey the law or get sent home within 72 hours or as soon as you are released from prison. And do so with the knowledge that if the United States, at a later time finds out about the criminal record in your country of origin, you will get the 72-hour boot. (A reality check is that in the third world it is easy for anyone to get a clean bill of health from "the authorities" for a price. Requiring them to present a police clearance before issuance of a work visa is just enriching some corrupt issuing official in the country from which they are trying to escape. Let's not feed the official crocodiles by writing our laws in a way that helps them to get richer.)

Step 5: For the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the country, require them to go through the process in Step 4. They must be made to leave the country (no, I won't feel sorry for those in Maine who have to go a long way) and re-enter legally. Once they are here legally, they can resume the lives they had already begun without fear. But they cannot be given amnesty. They must leave, if only for a few days, and return legally through a port of entry. If they've been living honest and productive lives while here, there is no reason not to immediately re-admit them and now begin to collect the taxes that have been heretofore "avoided." But the emphasis is that they cannot remain here illegally for if they do then they will face the 72-hour deportation process with no hope of legal return.

Could it be done? Absolutely. Will it be done? Not while we have liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats and RINOs in office who view illegal immigrants as a permanent and very useful underclass.

Think about this between now and November.

To deny that the Christian faith played a leading, if not the leading, role in American history is to propagate a lie. Despite the effort by liberal-progressive-socialist judges to redefine the Constitution, the clear wording is understandable to anyone with an 8th grade education save, of course, lawyers. The 1st Amendment provides for the freedom of religion but doesn't say that religion must be expelled from all governmental activities. No where in the Constitution does it say anything about the separation of church and state. It only says that the national government shall not establish a state religion and says nothing about any requirement that there be no religion at all in government.

It is those who promote the solid wall that have the mental problem, incapacity if you will, to allow others to believe as they wish and to freely practice their own religion. There is even a special name for them in American English. They are called liberal-progressives. They have a strong bent towards an exceedingly large, socialist central government and a view that allows for the silencing of any beliefs other than their own. They can be from the Democrat Party or RINOs for the party doesn't matter as much as the extension of control over We the People. And liberal-progressives of both stripes bask in the idea that they are doing what is best because they are the ruling elite.

Both are equally dangerous to the Republic and should be avoided like the snakes that they are.

This could be accurately titled "Political Battles to Come." As the President and his liberal-progressive-socialist Democrat minions attack more of our institutions in order to reform them to support their socialist agenda, we will have to keep close watch on our Representatives and Senators to determine who is a Conservative and dedicated to limited government and who is a RINO and might as well call themselves a Democrat. The Democrat Party has shown itself to be the party of big government, high taxes and government control of the most intimate details of your life. They are the fascists of the 21st Century and we should work to expel them all from their government positions. RINOs are the 21st Century equivalent of WWII Quislings who collaborate with the enemies of freedom for small political survival.  We must expel both.

An excellent piece from Jonathan H. Adler in the Volokh Conspiracy blog.  I would recommend this to all as the Left Stream Media is sure to flood the airwaves with misinformation and outright lies once Liu's confirmation hearings start.

The Republicans should do everything in their power to stop Liu's nomination and any Republican RINO that votes for Liu should be sent packing when he faces re-election.  Liu is a far-leftwing ideologue or Obama would not have nominated him.

To that end, considering the arrogance of the left, no Obama judicial nominee should pass in the coming 3 years.

Senators push Obama for biometric national ID card

Americans have long objected to the idea of a National ID card and with good reason.  Why should we have a national identification card when we are free men and women in a country that is supposed to be the Land of the Free?

Now the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats, in concert with a liberal-progressive-socialist Republican, Lindsey Graham (R-SC) are trying to implement a National Identification Card under the guise of "Immigration Reform."  They know that President Obama, the ultimate liberal-progressive-socialist, will back the measure and they intend to tout it as a way to ensure that only Americans are hired.

We already have a way to identify undocumented workers through verification of Social Security Numbers.  This is even required of contractors who do work for the federal government and for most state and local governments.  As Americans we don't need a "biometric" ID card to give us a right to work and that's what Senator Chuck-you Schumer and Lindsey "The RINO" Graham are trying are trying to sneak into legislation.

This idea of theirs is a direct assault on the freedom of all Americans and provides for more government intrusion into the private lives of the people.  It's time for The People to say enough.

Well, they are liberal fascists so it just follows that they want us to always have our papers ready to show.  I just wonder if the ID's will be color coded so they will know how you're registered to vote.  Or maybe your religion.

The stupidity of the idea is magnified by fact that there is already a way to check on whether the individual is legally working by doing an instant check of the Social Security Number.  This is clearly an attempt to backdoor a National ID.

Neither of these two Senators are friends of liberty. One, Chuck Schumer, is a liberal-progressive-socialist Democrat from New York and the other, Lindsey Graham, is a liberal-progressive-socialist Republican, or RINO, from South Carolina. Both are shining examples of the worst in our Senate and should be turned out by the voters at the earliest opportunity.

What they are proposing, under the fraudulent guise of immigration reform, is nothing less than a National ID Card. Why should a U.S. citizen be required to produce a bio-metric identification card in order to get a job? The Supreme Court has ruled that we do not have to carry identification when we are walking down the street yet these two have planned a way to force a National ID card on Americans through the back door.
