We should take a moment to remember the complete slate of lies spread by AARP when Bush 43 (President George W. Bush) proposed fixing Social Security during his presidency. AARP led the Democrat charge through a masterful disinformation campaign that had seniors calling their Congressmen daily out of fear that the Republicans were going to cancel Social Security for everyone. It was all lies, of course, as none of the changes would have affected those who belonged to AARP and Social Security would have survived as a healthier entity but AARP knew that by being an effective tool for the Democrats in that political battle they would be able to call in the favors at a later date.

That later date was, of course, when Obamacare was written. AARP was well taken care of--they fought for its passage, of course--and profits went through the roof. Now they are trying to say they are "nonpartisan." Right. I'll believe that right after I start believing that the tooth fairy is a 6', 230 lb., former professional wrestler named Geno.

Obama Administration Bypassing Congress to Institute Death Panel ‘Discussions’

There can be no argument.  This is what the left behaves and what they want and they'll do it if we let them.  Repeal is the only option.  

During the run-up to the last minute vote last year on the universally reviled Obamacare act last year the Left Stream Media blasted Sarah Palin for coining the phrase "death panels" because they couldn't find the term in their reading of that 2,000 + page monstrosity.  Of course, nobody in their right mind gives the Left Stream Media much credit for intelligence...other than themselves and their carefully selected "experts" and Sarah Palin was right.   In the end the Senate managed to take out the "end of life" counseling before the bill went to the President for his triumphant signing ceremony; but that only delayed the eugenics-minded left in creating the panels.  They now are in the process of conducting an end-run on the American people and are  putting them in place by executive fiat.

So Obama will have his "death panels"--or so he believes--anyway.  It's now up to the new House of Representatives to step-up and tell him and his Czar no.  Not only no but hell no!  It's high time that we defunded all the Czars, especially those involved in health care, and sent them packing.

The liberals gasped and feigned shock when Sarah Palin came up with the "Death Panel" accusation in connection with Obamacare.  The Left Stream Media immediately went on the attack branding Palin with the usual slurs and denying that there would be anything close to "Death Panels" resulting from Obamacare.  In doing so, they blatantly ignored the stated beliefs of those who would be involved in setting up Obamacare.

I have two friends who are currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer:  one on the West Coast and one on the East Coast.  Both of these women are extremely good people with family and friends.  Both have undergone surgery and chemo.  As I look at them and think about what they have faced and still face, I think about what I faced with my own cancer when my daughter was only a few months old.  Thankfully I found an excellent doctor who using the latest techniques removed the cancer from my body and I am now cancer free.  The operation, like the medicine that the FDA has now essentially banned, was not cheap; but the fact that my 4 year-old daughter will have a father for many, many years to come made the treatment worth every penny.  How would I feel if a bureaucrat in Washington decided that the type of robotic surgery that I underwent was just not cost effective based on the number of years I have left in which to earn and pay taxes?  Sound a little 1984-ish?  I've got news for you out there:  That's exactly the way they are now determining what treatments we will receive.

Nancy "The Nanny" Pelosi and the Neo-Lib Democrats in the House, the Senate and the Oval Office clearly demonstrated that while they are masters at political intrigue they have no true understanding of the Constitution. Indeed, Obama has said that it is an "imperfect" document. We cannot depend on any of these people to live up to their oaths of office so the sooner we use the power of our votes to remove them from the exercise of political power the better off our nation will be.

I don't expect that Pelosi will be defeated in her home bailiwick. San Francisco is, after all, the home of more idiots than any place in America. But with the November 2 election we will have taken the all important step of removing her from the power she enjoys as the Speaker of the House and with diligence on our part, she will never again occupy such a sensitive position. Harry Reid will likely be defeated in Nevada and that is a good thing. If we don't vote out enough Democrats in the Senate, however, then "Chuck-you" Schumer will likely be the Senate majority leader. That is not good for America as he is a craven leftist ideologue who loves being before the cameras. But if we don't take control of the Senate on November 2 we will certainly have a significant enough minority presence to stop any advancement of the über-left's agenda for Schumer will certainly try to advance those issues, like gun-control, that are near and dear to his heart.

November 2, you see, is only half the battle. We must then gird ourselves for two more years of political war against those who would love to subjugate us and make us their political and economic slaves. Until we send Obama packing on January 20, 2013, our freedoms will be under constant attack. The legal victory in Florida that is reported in the linked article is only one of many legal and political battles to come. We have much work to do and, God willing, we will be victorious and free in the end.

The Pope, in his homily at the Mass celebrated in Glasgow, used the phrase, "dictatorship of relativism." It is a perfect phrase, you might even say divinely inspired, to describe what we face in the United States today as the Obama Regime supported by Nancy "The Nanny" Pelosi and Dingy Harry Reid do their best to create a socialist state over the objections of We the People. They hold to no true moral compass at all. Obama shows that he is a Christian, albeit one who equates Christ's teachings with Karl Marx. Pelosi is a Catholic, albeit one who supports abortion. Reid is a Mormon, albeit one who has turned his back on the Constitution unlike his co-religionist, Glenn Beck.

The proffered religious beliefs of all three are really immaterial–yes, I am aware that there are those who say Obama is a secret Muslim and that, too, is immaterial–because it is not their religious beliefs that matter here. What matters is their purposeful drive towards a dictatorship of relativism where there is no moral compass to be followed. In their perfect world, the ruling elite–in other words, themselves–will decide what is moral and right. Do you want a Christian, a Catholic and a Mormon who can, through moral relativism, blindly support partial birth abortions making those decisions for you and your family? I realize that since 1930 a portion of the Christian Church condones abortion so Obama might be within the moral compass provided by his church but the Catholics and Mormons do not. (Did you know that before 1930 no Christian sect condoned abortion?) That's the liberal agenda and that's what will happen if this triumvirate returns to power in January. They shoved Obamacare with its death panels–yes, they are there to "control costs" just as they are in England–down our throats despite our vociferous objections. Do you want more? Remember that when you go to the polls in November.

Judge Permits Virginia Health Care Law Challenge to Continue

The Department of Justice loses the first round!  This is a small step in the right direction for all Americans and the journey is sure to end at the Supreme Court where there will be, I predict, a 5-4 ruling in favor of Virginia.

Pelosi, Reid and Obama are sure to be dismayed by this ruling and even though they will put up a good face, you and I both know that they were hoping against hope that they could quash the Virginia challenge quickly so as to take the wind from the sails of the challenge in Florida.

There is no doubt that Obamacare will result in the rationing of health care resources and medicines. It is inevitable and anyone who says differently is just plain lying or so out of touch with reality that there is no hope for them.

"You will only get what I say you will get...and you will like it or else!"

The recess appointment of Donald Berwick, the self-professed lover of Britain's National Health Care which is famous for it's rationing schemes, is just another nail in the coffin. Berwick, who plainly states his socialist beliefs in calling health care effective only if there is a "redistribution of wealth," is a well-known proponent of health care rationing and this clearly sets the stage for the death panels first pointed out by Sarah Palin, laughed-off by the Left Stream Media then once again brought to the fore with his appointment. Obamacare, which was pushed down the throats of America despite overwhelming opposition, will not improve health care in the United States. What it does do is provide for federal funding of abortion, increase costs and force individuals out of private health care systems. And this is only the beginning as the most onerous provisions are purposely timed to kick-in only after the 2012 elections in order to provide the best possible chance for Obama's re-election.

Remember that this November. Vote against anyone who voted for Obamacare.

This is something you should read if only because this is the pattern that the United States will follow in 2014 when the BMI (Body Mass Indicator) for each of us will be uploaded to Federal Government computers to be used initially as a way to identify those who are obese and, a short while later, as a measure of cost effectiveness for determining what medical care we will receive.  It's important that you go to the linked article and see the pictures of the two children who were branded as "overweight" using the government BMI.

Now, I will admit to some corpulence on my part.  I was very active when I was young and lifted weights and as I grew older I ate the same but became more sedentary.  That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.  However my 4 year old daughter is anything but obese, but using the government's BMI there is no doubt that she will show up as "overweight" because at age 4 she is as tall as most 7 year olds and wears size 7 Levis.  We talked about her size at the last yearly check-up and her doctor looked at her and said, "There is nothing wrong with her weight.  It's perfectly proportional with her height and not a concern."  The doctor's opinion, of course, did not take the government's figures into consideration and, as in the British system, a bureaucrat shall be interposed between the patient and doctor.  That will lead to the exact same bureaucratic idiocy that our British cousins now face.  The linked article clearly shows the folly of putting unnamed government bureaucrats in between a patient and his or her doctor.  England has done it and clearly it doesn't work.  So why is Obama so absolutely in favor of instituting government control of health care?  Very simple:  It's a great way to control people.

In November, when you go to the polls, remember the lies told by the Neo-Lib Democrats when they forced Obamacare down our throats.  Then vote them out of office.

Its a quiet Sunday. I'm relaxed and enjoying my day. Then I open NewsBusters and can't believe my eyes: Even the New York Slime is exposing Obama's lies on Obamacare! I feel slightly like I imagine Alice did when speaking to Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. The NYT admitting Obama lied? How can that be? The "Paper of Record" is supposed to be infallible, I know, but could it be that someone over there actually had a lucid, non-drug induced thought last night before the paper went to press?

At any rate, and without the usual "I told you so," I have to say I told you so. Obama, Reid and Pelosi lied to the American people about Obamacare. It won't lower our costs. It will lead to health care rationing. It will lead to panels–you can call them "NICE" or "Death," I don't care–that will make decisions as to whether you will get the treatment you need or whether the treatment you need is just not cost effective which, at that point means it sucks to be you.

Our only hope is to get to the polls this November and send a rousing message to those who voted for Obamacare. A message that simply says, "You're fired!" in a manner that would make Donald Trump blush. Then the new, Conservative-led Congress can de-fund Obamacare and start the ball rolling to repeal and replace it with a true fix for our nation. We'll start with tort reform and go on from there. (You'll note that the Neo-Lib Democrats shied away from tort reform because the trial lawyers are just too good at donating to their campaigns.)

Oh, and in case you haven't heard, starting in 2014 you will be measured for body fat and that measurement, which might, repeat might, be an indicator of obesity, will be recorded in your electronic medical file and available to the government for review. Want to bet that the panel will get to see that figure when it makes a life or death decision about you? Remember, in 2014 you begin to lose your medical privacy. Guaranteed.

The ruling political class isn't worried, of course, because for the ruling political class the fix is already in when their needs go before the panel. They'll get what they want and need. As for the rest of us...well, it sucks to be us if this goes into full operation.

We know that Donald Berwick admires the British National Health Care System, especially its not so nice NICE, to the point of giddy, teenage infatuation. We know that Donald Berwick believes that for any national health care system to be effective it must be accompanied by a redistribution of wealth.

But we don't have to provide him an office or a salary despite his recess appointment. We don't have to give him money for a staff to implement Obamacare despite its partisan passage through Congress.

That's why November is so very, very important. We cannot let the Democrats continue majority rule in the House and Senate. We must, and will, get out the vote.

In order to accomplish all they want to do for us, all we have to do is allow them to abrogate the Constitution by redefining the words to mean the exact opposite of what the Founding Fathers wrote and meant. 1984 is upon us. folks, and it is being led not only by Neo-Lib Democrat politicians abetted by Progressive Republicans, but by doctors who purport to want to give us "better" health care. Soon these same doctors will talk about our duty to die so that others may have our share of medical care and other resources that are necessary for life.

We must reject such intellectual trash. We've seen what nation states do when they practice the eugenics that is the driving force behind socialized medicine.  Eugenics is the basis of the rationing that is the natural outcome of socialized medicine because it provides a "scientific" manner of selection as to who will get the care and who will die.  It led to forced sterilizations in the early 1900's in the United States and National Socialist Germany took its application to the nth degree.  Eugenics has been so thoroughly discredited that the American Medical Association should be ashamed of itself. It's no wonder that many doctors that I've talked to no longer belong to the AMA.

I'm sure that includes the National Institute for Clinical Effectiveness, or NICE, (how's that for something straight out of Orwell's 1984?) which is, literally, the death panel for the National Health Service as it sets the rules that ration what care the British will receive.  (To be "romantic" about a bureaucracy like the National Health Service is, when you think about it, quite perverse.  But then again this guy is from Harvard so I am sure that there is nothing wrong with his mental and emotional health.  But to be "romantic" about a bureaucracy?  Ewwwww...)

It would seem to be logical that they would focus on things like marijuana, heroin and the prevention of AIDS but no, bacon is a problem that must be addressed. And salt, of course. We know how damaging that can be. And sugar! That should be rationed and taxed so that the masses don't eat too much.

If they outlaw bacon I can foresee a blackmarket rising. Instead of moonshiners it will be bacon smokers. Instead of baggies of green, leafy vegetable matter it will be paper wrapped packages of bacon strips. There will be street names for the illegal bacon, of course. I can imagine conversations like, "Hey! You know where I can score some Wild Piggie for tomorrow's breakfast?" And it will be Porkers instead of Pushers.

As the debate was raging over Obamacare this blog among hundreds of others stated clearly that Obamacare would lead inexorably to the rationing of health care in America.  This was denied, of course, by the Neo-Lib political class supporters of Obamacare and despite the opposition of a majority of Americans, the Neo-Lib Democrats passed Obamacare and took turns bowing to themselves and applauding their ability to ignore We the People.

Now as details of the bill are confirmed by independent sources–remember Nancy Pelosi saying that they'd have to pass the bill so we can find out what was in it?–we find that rationing will definitely happen.  Although "death panels" may have been a bit harsh, that will be the practical effect of the administrative decisions made by insulated, unidentified bureaucrats who will decide on the level of care for those subject to Obamacare.  The very young, who cannot pay taxes, and the elderly whose high earning years are behind them are most at risk.  (I would suggest that the elderly are more at risk considering that the Federal Government will get 55% of their estate once the death tax is reinstated at the end of 2010 but that's another story.)

And if it weren't enough President Obama appoints Donald Berwick, another Harvard friend and a well-known advocate of health rationing, to head Medicaid.

Do you still doubt that they'll pull the plug on Grandma?

Remember the uproar in the media over Sarah Palin's reference to "death panels?"

Well, here is the guy who will run them. He loves the British system and believes that rationing is the way to go. And guess who had been nominated to run Medicare and Medicaid?

"Death Panel" is just another way to institute eugenics, a favorite of the liberal elite for over 80 years now. There was a time when they had the ability to sterilize people whom they judged "unfit" to reproduce but when that was thrown out by popular acclaim they ran for the shadows only to return with Margaret Sanger's abortion on demand for "women's rights." Eugenics was never far from their minds, though, and always their ultimate goal. It's return had to be delayed for decades because of the extremes to which it was taken by the National Socialists in Germany, but it's still their goal. Why else would President Obama have a pro-eugenics "Science Advisor" in the White House?
