It amazes me, actually, how liberal-progressive-socialists can agonize over a death penalty that may be meted out to a criminal who has wasted his or her life and committed a transgression so heinous that a judge and jury may determine that death, as society's penalty, is the only appropriate penalty; yet they think nothing of allowing the murder of an innocent, unborn baby for the convenience of the mother.

Their shrill argument is always the same: "It's the woman's body and she should make the decision!"  And I do admit, that is true.  It is the woman's body and she is responsible for what she does with it.  If she engages in unprotected sex and gets pregnant it is her responsibility and hers alone.  (This is not to excuse the male, of course, for he bears the same parental responsibility as the woman.)  But is it right that the baby be punished with death because the woman who bears the responsibility doesn't want to face the consequences of her actions?  For the liberal-progressive-socialist there is no individual responsibility therefore, because society is responsible, abortion must be allowed.  It is a twisted mind that can reconcile sparing the wasted life of a sordid criminal yet murdering an innocent baby.

I realize that liberal-progressive-socialists don't look at life the same way I do so the Democrat-controlled U.S. Senate (albeit with the help of two female Republican Senators from Maine) killed the anti-abortion amendment that would have prevented federal dollars from funding abortion.  To them a baby is an inconvenience that has neither a vote nor the ability to pay taxes.  In fact, in their "tax everything" mentality the baby, being a tax deduction, is a liability!  Does it surprise you that they would want to keep federally-funded abortion in Obamacare?

It was the liberal-progressive-socialists that put the pro-abortion plank in the platform of the Democrat Party and that has made Planned Parenthood one of the primary groups supporting, and supported by, the Democrats.  You'll remember that a primary proponent of abortion was Margaret Sanger who founded Planned Parenthood.  She advocated abortions on Afro-Americans in order to eliminate what she called "socially undesirable people."  


And Harry Reid accused the Republicans of being racist?
