Senator Mark R. Warner posted the following on his website.
He fails to mention that his vote raises taxes on us all. He fails to mention the $2.5 Trillion cost of the bill (the Democrats love to keep chanting "$871 Billion" which has been exposed as an outright lie by the CBO).
He fails to mention that he is exaggerating to the point of lying when he says that Virginia businesses will "continue to see double-digit premium increases every year" or that "Virginia families could see up to 40% of their take-home pay consumed by health care expenses by the year 2016."
Actually, on the last one, it has as much validity as saying that you will win the Mega Lotto by 2016. Of course, we "could" see such an increase but that's probably less likely than winning the lottery's grand prize. And this bill won't address the causes of the problems in health care. It goes exactly in the wrong direction.
