White House Compares Insurance Mandate to Seat Belt Laws

The White House Director of Management and Budget, Peter Orszag, expresses the view that the insurance mandate is no different than mandatory seat belt laws.

Really? There is a federal seat belt law? There isn't one, of course. That is a mandate by the individual states.

We know that there is not and that the whole Obamacare agenda is a blatant attempt to federalize health care in America. Orszag's statement is typical of the statist point of view that big government is the answer to everything and their heartfelt belief that big government should control everyone's lives.

Absolute balderdash. This guy is as big an idiot as his bosses.
