The Weather Socialists

It has been abundantly clear for sometime now that the meeting in Copenhagen is not actually about the climate but about the redistribution of the wealth of the West to the kleptocrats of the Third World. This point could not have been made clearer than in the thunderous applause to the statement by Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez that the blame for all problems was capitalism in one breath and the call for money from the capitalist countries in the next.

That sort of talk is expected of Chavez and his ilk but what is depressing is the response of the Obama Administration. Once again they go hat-in-hand to beg the world for forgiveness. The truth is, there is nothing to forgive. America has given more to the rest of the world than any other country in the history of the world.
