Slavery and the healthcare debate

A well-thought out piece on the health care debate. There is no question that Harry Reid's asinine comparison of the Republican Party to those that wanted to perpetuate slavery in the 1860's and 1960's was wrong. It was the Democrats to actually did those things and it is the Democrats who continue to practice the fine art of economic enslavement whereby large segments of the population are dependent on the government for their sustenance and therefore votes only for the party that promotes increases in their welfare. That party is, of course, the Democrats.
