Hollywood and Howard Zinn's Marxist Education Project by Michelle Malkin

An excellent read on how the liberal-progressive-socialists continue to diminish the education that is served up to our children in the school system. Is it any wonder that home schooling, something that was unheard of when I started to school, is becoming more and more common in the United States?

Remember, the failure of our current system is that it rewards minimal effort by not letting children hear the word "Fail." Children, we are told, have their psyches damaged if they are told they failed or receive and "F." But what has happened in this effort to save the children's "psyches" is that we have produced an ill-educated class of graduates who are fit only to become the proletariat under the guidance of a benevolent ruling elite. They know not how to think for themselves or use common sense. They do know only that what they do must make them "feel good" or it is wrong.

They are to be pitied, actually. Those of us who were brought up in what is now called a "brutal" educational system that actually failed some students for poor performance and who didn't get a trophy at the end of the baseball season unless we won the most games are able to savor the sweet taste of victory and success. We know the taste of failure which makes succeeding all the sweeter. That is something today's students, educated in the fine art of "social justice" will never know.

The sooner we take the educational system back from the liberal-progressive-socialist teachers that have come to control it, the better.
