D.C. vote on gay marriage denied - Washington Times
I find it amazing that the will of the people was legislated out of existence in this matter. I would imagine that more than a few of our Founding Fathers rolled over in their graves at the logic of the decision to not allow a vote by the people.
In doing this the DC government has set itself up as a ruling elite not subject to the people's will. Noblesse oblige anyone?
