The British National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, or NICE for short, (isn't it wonderful how liberal-progressive-socialists can twist the meaning of language?) has determined that a drug that is readily available in Europe is "not cost-effective" in Britain for treatment of bowel cancer.
The drug would allow people with advanced cases of bowel cancer to live for 2 to 3 more years but the cost of the drug makes it "not cost-effective."
This is what bureaucratic bodies which are charged with operating on a budget to provide medical care do. They decide who is to live and who is to be given cheap pain killers and let die. They are the death panels that Sarah Palin warned us about.
This is what the Democrats under the leadership of Obama, Reid and Pelosi want to give us. They hunger for the power to choose who lives or dies. They want to make the decisions for all of us and they will lie, cheat and steal to get that power.
Call your Senator today and remind them who they work for. Tell them that they must vote "NAY" in a loud and clear voice when the current health care bill comes to a vote.
