Sarah Palin and the Bard
A ring of truth here and I hope the leaders of the Republican Party read and heed.
For too long the Republican leadership has hewed to the idea that we must be liked by the "intellectual class" of the East Coast corridor. And look where that has taken us: to the brink of socialism and the destruction of our freedom. It has put our country in debt to China, a stalwart foe. It has denigrated our ability to defend ourselves due to adherence to "multiculturalism" and "political correctness."
What we truly need in Washington is some fresh air and adherence to the principles that made America great. What we have is a pandering lip-service to those principles while politicians plunder the treasury "for their home districts" and to hell with the rest of the nation.
Sarah Palin appeals to the common folk. She speaks with common sense and understands the common man like no talking-head on TV ever will. Is it any wonder that she is so popular with the people and so unpopular with the self-certified elite in our country? Isn't it wonderful at the way she makes them gnash their teeth and foam at the mouth? Isn't it time we put them in their place and called them the ignorant snobs that they are?
