Residency at issue in Va. Senate race - Washington Times

Residency at issue in Va. Senate race - Washington Times

This issue goes to the point that Democrats have long believed, in their heart-of-hearts, that the rules were for the little people and did not apply to them. As the political elite they can bend or break them at will because "it's for the good of the people."

David Marsden is just such a politician and he believes that he can move slickly into a State Senate seat and that bending the rules just doesn't matter. He sums up his elitist viewpoint thusly: "That somebody with my history of service to this county, the commonwealth and this district over the years is [less] important than where I sleep at night, then the other people in this race have the wrong priorities." This is the attitude of the Democratic party. This is the type of person they propose be a representative of the people of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Isn't it time we reminded the Democrats that the rules are there to ensure fairness and equal representation. Isn't it time we showed the self-certified political elite the door?

The Republican candidate has yet to be determined but one thing is clear: Marsden is not fit for public office and should not be elected.

If you live in Fairfax County, make it a point to vote in the upcoming election and get your neighbors out to vote as well.
