I'm posting this follow-on story about Col. Van Barfoot's problems with the Sussex Square Services, Inc., Home Owners Association, mainly because it actually identifies one of the perpetrators of this injustice. A Mr. Glenn Wilson, who did not have the courage to comment on the issue on camera--typical of someone who has been caught in viral pettiness--is the president of that HOA. His name deserves to be known as do the names of those HOA members who voted to demand Col. Barfoot take down his flagpole. There were other people on the HOA board who voted for it weren't there?
When it comes to a Medal of Honor recipient not being allowed to have a flagpole in his own front yard where he can proudly fly the flag that he defended, the public has a right to know.
Is there a defense fund for Col. Barfoot? If there is please let me know. Not only will I contribute but I'll help spread the word. It would be a very worthy cause.
