Such hypocrisy! This from one of the perpetrators of the 8 years of false vilification of President George W. Bush and published on the pages of one of the most uncivil newspapers in the U.S., The Washington Post, a top enabler of "uncivil" political discourse.
Although I did not agree with everything that President Bush did when it came to the economy, especially after the Democrats took control of the Congress in 2006, he had the class to live-up to his statements and not lie. Traits that President Obama sadly and clearly lacks. And there was never a reason to doubt President Bush's commitment to the Republic and the Constitution both of which President Obama has disparaged in both word and action.
It is only appropriate, then, that President Obama receive the same treatment, from the right in this case, as President Bush received from the liberal-progressive-socialist likes of the Daily Kos and The Huffington Post. He will have to learn to live with the heat of the kitchen or, as Harry Truman would say, get out.
I note in the linked WaPo article that no mention was made of President Obama's inability to pronounce the word "corpsman" correctly, not once but three times! Now imagine that this was President Bush and ask yourself, "What would the reaction of the media have been?" You know as well as I do that there would have been comments galore both in the print media and on TV, and, taking it a step further, questions would have been raised about President Bush's intelligence. (Remember the huge media silence, after all the hullabaloo of John Kerry being more intelligent when the university grades were released and it was found that George Bush actually had better college grades than Kerry?) Maybe it is time to ask if this president is really as smart as the Left Stream Media has told us. What were his college grades? And who paid for his education? Or is he just an avatar for socialism with all the substance of a hologram?
Follow the link for the story where the "I" president asks for the political civility he is certain not to find.
