Rally at the Patriot Center against Health Care when Obama is there

I received the following from Keith Fimian.  It's a call to turn out and show President Obama that we do not want the government to control our health care.  Obama will be speaking there and it's time to have a Tea Party!

See you at the Patriot Center!

Good Evening Bill,

Today, Gerry Connolly joined with Nancy Pelosi in supporting a desperate and arguably unconstitutional “Slaughter Solution,” an attempt to use procedural maneuvers to “deem” the Senate version on the healthcare bill passed without an actual vote on the legislation.  Gerry Connolly knows his constituents overwhelmingly oppose this legislation, and for that reason, he wants to avoid casting a vote he’ll have to answer for at the polls this November.

On Tuesday, when asked by a reporter about using dishonest tactics to pass the healthcare bill, Gerry Connolly responded, “So what! So what! Why does that matter? What matters is the substance of the bill.”

Substance Congressman?  Have you bothered to read, and do you even know what is in this 2,300 page monstrosity?  According to CBO estimates, this bill will cost $940 billion over ten years.   Connolly’s other substance?
* Mandating that all Americans purchase health insurance
* $500 billion in cuts to Medicare
* A special deal for Louisiana
* Higher health care costs
* Numerous tax increases totaling billions
* Billions more in borrowing on top of an already skyrocketing deficit
* Giving Americans fewer choices concerning their healthcare

Gerry Connolly's rant at a reporter revealed what's really going on. No matter what, he's going to continue voting with Nancy Pelosi 97% of the time even if the American people are opposed, his constituents are opposed, and he is knowingly violating the word and spirit of our Constitution.  He'll vote for bad legislation that hurts Northern Virginia families.   That's the substance and Gerry Connolly is wrong.
There is still time to make our voices heard, and let Connolly and the rest of the career politicians in Washington know that we won’t forget, and they will pay the price this November.

Please
join me and tomorrow outside of the Patriot Center at George Mason University in Fairfax to rally against this healthcare bill and to call on Congressman Gerry Connolly to oppose the bill.

We will be meeting at 8:00 AM outside the Dunkin Donuts at University Mall (10633 Braddock Rd, Fairfax, 22032).  After 8:00 AM will we go to the Patriot Center and will remain there until the rally ends around 12:00 PM

Look for members of Team Fimian wearing white Fimian for Congress t-shirts.  We will have stickers and signs.

Sincerely,

mj
