How to Handle the Growing Threat of Old Fashioned Piracy

Finally it seems as if some of the vessel owners in the world are using their heads in the fight against piracy on the high seas. It was a problem a few hundred years ago especially because back then the pirates had ships equal in size and armament to the ships they attacked. In this day and age that is not the case.

The bottom line: there is no reason that any ocean going freighter, tanker or cruise line ship should ever be boarded by pirates operating in a 25' motor boat. Only liberals would think that having your own armed security on board the ship was wrong.
