The DEA became quite familiar with narco-terrorism in the 1980's and was successful in destroying several major groups. Now the Islamic terrorists are getting involved with drugs in a big way because it's profitable--you can't run a terrorist operation without money--and because the drugs help tear down their enemy: The United States.
