Exclusive: Air Marshal Surge - ABC News
The "surge" concept was part of the Bush Administration's plan and not something that was just instituted by the current Administration. Of course, other law enforcement initiatives will have to be put on hold to institute this surge which will result in a negative impact on criminal law enforcement. I'm sure they've thought of how to cope with this, right?
Absent some good, solid intelligence on upcoming threats this seems more of a political move than a true counter-terrorism effort. Time will tell.
