Chris Dodd is, in my humble opinion, as corrupt as they come in Senate. The people of Connecticut and the nation will be much better off without him. Make no mistake about it, he's not tired nor ill. He knows that because of his corrupt practices and support for Obamacare he faces certain defeat in the next election so is taking the "honorable" way out but retiring. Unfortunately, there is nothing honorable about this man.
I would like to be able to say that I wish him well but that is not possible. He should be made to answer for his corruption in taking sweetheart deals from lenders who were at the center of the collapse of the housing market which led directly to our current economic woes. Were it not for Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and their ilk, we would not be in the mess we are in today and our Republic would be financially secure. So all I can say to Dodd is "Good riddance! And don't come back."
