The Horrors Of Progressive Socialism Revisited

The Horrors Of Progressive Socialism Revisited

The truth of history is something our young people are not taught in the relativism of today's educational system so it is something that we must pass on ourselves. That they don't know history is shown by their fealty to and support of the Obama Administration's actions on Obamacare and soon, Cap & Trade. Only the most naive would willingly submit to the nanny state and soft tyranny that is being offered from Washington's liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats who wish to create a regime that controls We the People and takes away the basic freedom that was given to us by the Founders. We must now work doubly hard to not only teach the young the hard lessons that history has recorded but also to elect this coming November those who will join the political battle to reverse repair the damage that is done to our Republic.

REVIEW: ‘The Pacific’ Episode 2 – ‘Raggedy-Ass Marines’

REVIEW: ‘The Pacific’ Episode 2 – "Raggedy-Ass Marines"

It was a time when we actually waged war rather than tried to fight politically correct police actions. It was a time when our men fought knowing what losing meant for those back home.

Tom Hanks may have shown his deep, abiding stupidity on history in his remarks leading up to the beginning of "The Pacific" series, but that does not detract from these heroes or the story that is told about their battles.

An American Liberal Reviews Karl Rove’s Account of the Iraq War

An American Liberal Reviews Karl Rove’s Account of the Iraq War

Things are different today. When I was in school the teachers all encouraged the study of history and more than once I heard the old saw that if you didn't learn from history you were doomed to repeat it. Today, however, it seems like people's memory of history only goes back as far as the last newscast they happened to hear or the last pronouncement by their favorite actor or singer. The actual study of history is usually limited to that which is approved by the increasingly liberal professors and administrators and must, of course, be absolutely politically correct. Would that the truth of history was politically correct but we know that politically correct history is the antithesis of the truth of history.

The linked review is refreshing in that the reviewer, although politically liberal, is intellectually honest. I know that's an unusual combination but it does exist more often than we conservatives imagine--Pat Caddell, the Democrat pollster from Jimmy Carter's Administration is another example--still the events in question are less than 10 years ago and should be--I stress should be--still fresh in everyone's mind. Sadly they are not. Among those who avidly voted for Obama but couldn't identify his Vice President or the things that his Vice President said or that Obama himself said, memory is about as long and in depth as that of a goldfish. That's why Karl Rove's book is needed so soon after the end of the Bush Presidency. One can fairly criticize President Bush for some of his later fiscal policies, even though those were increasingly driven by a partisan, Democrat-controlled Congress after 2006 that surely did not have Republican or the country's best interests in mind; but, his decisions on national security cannot be so easily faulted. Nor, as history clearly reveals when you remove the smoke and mirrors of the liberal-progressive-Democrat political machine and its Left Stream Media abettors, was it politically partisan. The cold, clear truth is that it was bi-partisan in nature--something the left would have you forget--and spurred by a true national interest rather than the "corporate interest" fairy tale pushed by the left today.

All in all, Rove's book looks to be an excellent read for those who want to see the truth.

The Party of American Slavery in Full Abhorrent Power Again

The Party of American Slavery in Full Abhorrent Power Again

The Canadian Free Press, unlike our own Left Stream Media, calls it for what it is. I've long postulated that the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats, long protectors of slavery in the South and reluctant supporters of the Civil Rights Movement, jumped on the Civil Rights bandwagon when Lyndon Johnson finally convinced them that through manipulation of the economy they would be able to perpetuate an economic slavery that is every bit as pernicious, and effective, as that which flourished during the early 1800's. Instead of having to buy slaves from African Muslim slave traders and run a gauntlet of British Man O' Wars to get them to the shores of America as was done in the 1800's, they would be able to use welfare, and now Obamacare, to stifle individual initiative and increase dependance on the government for all things right within the borders of the nation. In other words, they would still have their "slaves" but instead of just being black, they would be from all races within the United States; and those "slaves," educated to revere slavery by a liberal-progressive-socialist educational system, would naturally vote to keep the ruling elite--read liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats--in power indefinitely.

Slavery and discrimination in any form is absolutely abhorrent and it is hard to understand how a people would willingly support the creation of a government that would work towards that end. I would imagine for that to occur it would take the blind connivance of the major Main Stream Media outlets for that to happen. But they would never do that, would they?

Ever wonder why I normally refer to them as the Left Stream Media?

ObamaCare Is the Democrats’ New Kansas-Nebraska Act

ObamaCare Is the Democrats’ New Kansas-Nebraska Act

A most interesting read and historically accurate.  It is clear that the Democrats, in their lust for power over the people have made a clear transition from the pre-Civil War slavery only on race to a more modern economic slavery where all are captives of the central government.  That's where they want us to be:  enslaved in their liberal-progressive-socialist utopia.
