EDITORIAL: Black Panthers but no white rights - Washington Times

EDITORIAL: Black Panthers but no white rights - Washington Times

There was hope for a short while after his election that Barack Hussein Obama would be the symbol of a post-racial America. I admit that even though I looked at that as a silver lining in the clouds that were gathering over America. Unfortunately that hope was as short lived as a snowball in Hades. We now know that far from being post-racial, Obama thrives on and encourages racial divisions. In Obama's America, only white people can be racist. All others can discriminate all they want but in the end, in Obama's eyes, it is always the fault of the white guy. Especially if he is a police officer. That is political correctness under the Obama Regime.

In the New Black Panther case, it was inarguably the worst incidence of voter intimidation since the Civil Rights movement began. But in Eric Holder's eyes, and the eyes of Barack Obama, the New Black Panthers could not be guilty for two reasons: 1. They were black and blacks can't be racist; and, 2. The New Black Panthers were early supporters of Barack Obama when he announced his run for the presidency.

This isn't just wrong, it's corrupt, arrogant, crass evil.

Holder hasn't read Arizona law he criticized - Washington Times

Holder hasn't read Arizona law he criticized - Washington Times

Does it surprise anyone that the most incompetent Attorney General in the history of the United States criticizes a law based purely on hearsay? Unfortunately, I wasn't surprised at all because he is just following the lead of his boss. President Obama has been making statements calculated to divide America rather than unite the country. His demagogic assumption that the police in Arizona would act in a racist manner is distasteful at the least and patent racial pandering at the worst.  It is the Federal Government that has failed to act to secure the southern border and that is to the shame of both this Regime and the previous Administration. Arizona did exactly what it needed to do for the citizens of Arizona and they didn't do anything that isn't being done already in other areas of the United States. The difference is that it's close to an election and the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats need to engage in race-mongering in order to have a semblance of an issue in November. They are hoping that by standing and screaming "RACIST!!" and repeating it often enough despite the fact that there is nothing racist about the law, their base will get enthused enough to turn out and vote.

As for me and most other Americans, we are tired of politicians and professional race-mongers like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who keep stirring the racial pot to keep Americans divided along racial/ethnic lines. It's time that we quit assuming racism just so Jesse, Al and the others can make a living. It's time for them to get real jobs and contribute to America.

Follow the link for more on Holder and how he hasn't even read the law he's criticized.  It just proves that it's all politics, folks.  The Obama Regime could care less about the truth.

NYT/CBS slant poll question, but people still support Arizona law | Washington Examiner

NYT/CBS slant poll question, but people still support Arizona law | Washington Examiner

Does it surprise anyone that the New York Slime and the Central BS network would attempt to rig a poll to ensure that their liberal-progressive-socialist slant was supported? No? I didn't think so, but I had to ask.

The Arizona law is neither an onerous intrusion on civil rights or racially motivated. The same practices that are stipulated in the Arizona law have been in part of life in Prince William Country, Virginia, right outside Washington, DC, for over a year and, guess what? No civil rights violations by racist police. No lawsuits claiming illegal arrests. And to top it all off, the fast food industry is still functioning without a problem. Yes, there have been more immigration holds placed on people with whom the police have come into lawful contact but when you think of it, that's how it should be. Police should enforce the law and not be forced to ignore it.

Mayor Rudy Giuliani (Remember him? The last competent mayor of New York City?) proved the importance of having the police enforce the law. He knew that when you allow the law to be broken and when the public sees uniformed law enforcement officers ignoring petty violations of the law, respect for the law collapses and you have a rise in petty crime. With the rise in petty crime the true criminals, emboldened by police inaction, come out of the woodwork and you have a corresponding rise in serious crime. When he took office New York's crime rate was high as a result of years of liberal mayors "encouraging" police restraint so he ordered the police to get back in the game and attack the petty crime. The initial shock of receiving a citation for jaywalking or any of the other myriad small infractions hit the city hard and people were screaming about it being unfair and how the Mayor was creating a fascist state. But, lo and behold, the crime rate started dropping and New York became safer. Safer, that is, until emboldened by 8 years of liberal-progressive-socialist softness on international terrorism, Islamo-fascists seized control of passenger aircraft and turned them into weapons of mass destruction on 9/11.

The same rules apply to the Arizona law. It doesn't go beyond what Federal immigration law already requires. There are no "extras" required of legal residents or citizens. It only requires that if local officers, in the course of performing their regular duties, encounter someone who cannot identify themselves properly then they will ensure that the person is legally in the U.S. by contacting ICE. It's not onerous. It's not a seizure of individual freedom (if it was Obama would certainly support it!). It is what we should expect of our law enforcement officials as they perform their duties.

Follow the link for more. Then try to find an Arizona based business and buy something there. Cold Stone Creamery is one and it's especially nice in hot weather. And for you liberals out there, if you're boycotting Arizona Ice Tea, I'm sure you feel very proud of yourself. Just be aware that it is, and always has been, a company that is headquartered in New York. The only thing that's from Arizona about it is the name. But, in your alternate intellectual universe I'm sure that's sufficient.

When Indignation Trumps Information

My recommended read of the day from George Will.  An excellent piece on illegal immigration and the inane comments made by those who object to Arizona's law.  The problem with the left is that they don't use reason in their arguments but emotion.

It is emotion, not reason, that is driving the illegal immigration argument in the United States today.  Spurred-on by the Left Wing Media, the left is demonstrating and making bold statements that are factually false in support of their contention that the status quo is good enough.  Of course the left sadly says that the crimes committed are terrible but driven by their need for a permanent underclass that can be exploited for labor and political gain, they do nothing to solve the problem.  Amnesty is not a solution but that's what they have in mind.

There can be no amnesty if we are to solve the problem.  Amnesty will only exacerbate the problem.

Seattle cartoonist launches "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day"

I suppose that this should come under the topic "I will not submit" but that should be obvious.  The problem is not the Islamic religion as peacefully practiced; but, the 12th-century mentality demonstrated by some Islamic fundamentalists.  That they feel it is proper to threaten or even do physical harm on those who draw pictures of Mohammed while refusing to allow the freedom of worship in the Middle East is reason enough to participate in this this day supporting the 1st Amendment.  Despite the statement by Obama, we are not a Muslim nation and we will not be bound by the dictates of uneducated Muslim clerics who believe they have a duty to convert or kill all unbelievers or those who don't bow to, or become dhimmis, to Mohammed.  We owe the Koran no more preferential treatment than we owe the Bible or the Torah.  But unlike Saudi Arabi, where the Wahabi sect rules all religion, we allow all three in America and people are free to make their own choice as to which to follow.

Those who wish to worship Islam peacefully are welcome in America and we are bound to protect their right to worship as they please, but they will have to accept that we have a freedom of speech here that may sometimes offend some while pleasing others.  Christians are offended by "art" that has Christ on a Crucifix in a bottle of urine no less than Muslims are offended by a drawing of Mohammed.  The "sin" is on the creator and those who like that sort of thing;  but, both are allowable under our Constitution.

Have you got a problem with that?

An excellent piece from Thomas Sowell. Clearly all cultures are not equal and Sowell explains why multiculturalism is the bane, rather than the boon, of our nation.

Black conservative tea party backers take heat

Black conservative tea party backers take heat

When it comes to inflammatory hate speech, nothing that has been said, or alleged to be said, by the Tea Party activists can hold a candle to the hate speech that emanates from the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats and their supporters. They have taken abusive personal attacks and turned them into an art form and their supporters in the Left Stream Media give them a complete pass even to the point of painting them as valiant victims in confrontations. This is especially true when it comes to racial invectives which they immediately throw up in an attempt to silence black American conservatives.

It is the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats that stoke the fires of racism and division in America. They use minorities to maintain political power but in truth have actually done little to improve their lot in America. In continuing to enslave them by encouraging dependence on the government they promote class divisions and ensure their own political prosperity through class warfare. When you stop to think about it, it is in the best interests of the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrat ruling elite that We the People continue to be a people divided for that is the only way that they may accomplish their goal establishing a statist regime.

Undermining Our Faith

Undermining Our Faith

This thoughtful piece is a recommended read for today. Eric Hoffer, who is the central reference in the story, was one of the most brilliant American writers and philosophers of the 20th Century with a personal story as compelling as his writing. I remember reading his books in high school and marveling that a longshoreman could think so deeply and with such clarity.

The Horrors Of Progressive Socialism Revisited

The Horrors Of Progressive Socialism Revisited

The truth of history is something our young people are not taught in the relativism of today's educational system so it is something that we must pass on ourselves. That they don't know history is shown by their fealty to and support of the Obama Administration's actions on Obamacare and soon, Cap & Trade. Only the most naive would willingly submit to the nanny state and soft tyranny that is being offered from Washington's liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats who wish to create a regime that controls We the People and takes away the basic freedom that was given to us by the Founders. We must now work doubly hard to not only teach the young the hard lessons that history has recorded but also to elect this coming November those who will join the political battle to reverse repair the damage that is done to our Republic.

‘Education Is a Right’: The New Gateway Drug

"Education Is a Right": The New Gateway Drug

Our Founders correctly identified our rights. They are not something that comes from any government. They come from our Creator and as free people they are ours at birth. They are enshrined in the Constitution as the Bill of Rights and are most simply stated in the Declaration of Independence as "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." Nowhere is there a right to medical care but there is a right to procure it. And nowhere is there a right to education but you may strive to achieve it.

The problem with the youth of California is that they have been so poorly educated that they don't know the difference between an unalienable right, which is protected by the Constitution, and something that most people would like to have and, if they work for it, can have.

Uplifting the Poor One Lie at a Time

Uplifting the Poor One Lie at a Time

The problem with the liberal-progressive-socialists is that they just throw money–other people's money–at the problem of the poor. They don't actually try to fix the problem by encouraging the poor to work and achieve, rather they commiserate with the poor and tell them that it's not their fault but the fault of the rich. The poor accept the lie as fact because it comes from their "benefactors" even though the "benefactors" aren't helping with their own money but that stolen from the rich. In doing this the liberal-progressive-socialists develop political support based on the economic slavery and through that support accrue power with which they can then rule "for the good of all" as the despotic, ruling elite.

During the entire process liberal-progressive-socialists feel good about themselves because in their lies they tell themselves that they are doing good. In reality they are doing great harm. But they feel very good about it.

Misery, Thy Name Is Bureaucracy

Misery, Thy Name Is Bureaucracy

This is what the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats have in mind for America. But don't worry, they do mean well and if it doesn't work out well for you and me then it is just because we are not part of the ruling elite.

Healthcare Summit Democrat Demagoguery

The exploitation of the unfortunate is the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrat's stock-in-trade.  They won't lift their own finger to help the unfortunate, however, because that's the government's job.  They are only adept at spending other people's money.

Suburban homeless: Rising tide of women, families

Funny, but  President Obama didn't mention that there was a rise in the homeless that is a direct result of the policies of the liberal-progressive-socialists. To hear him speak, everything is just peachy.

Tell that to the parents of a homeless family.

It's time to get the government out of the way and lower taxes so that business can expand and people can have money to spend. Tax credits--which is what the Democrats have done--are NOT tax cuts. You have to spend more money than the credit in order to take advantage of the credit. That means that the credit only helps the targeted business and not the population as a whole.

Someone ought to explain the difference to the Professor before he bankrupts the country and its' citizens.

This is just more proof of President Obama's lies.

Organizing for America can Recruit in New York Schools but the Boy Scouts Can't

It is to the shame of America that we allow those who wish to be tin-pot dictators to set an agenda for our youth that flies in the face of common sense and decency.  Our educators do not educate as much as they indoctrinate and their goal is not to turn our well-rounded citizens with traditional values but to graduate legions of progressive thinking sycophants willing to let the government make all the decisions.

The Boy Scouts teach certain moral values that are despised by the liberal-progressive-socialists who believe themselves to be the ruling elite.  In truth, however, it is the lack of moral values of liberal-progressive-socialists that is to be despised.

American Thinker: Green Police Aren't Just in Super Bowl Ads

American Thinker: Green Police Aren't Just in Super Bowl Ads

Sometimes an attempt at humor ends up exposing a basic truth.

The truth is that those on the far left fringe of the Democratic Party are more than just liberal-progressive-socialist ideologues like out President. They would actually be most happy to support and be the "Green Police."  We must not allow that small percentage of looneys to gain more of a foothold than they already have.  They don't need power.  They need 24-hour care so they don't hurt themselves and others.

A Tragic Use of Language

A Tragic Use of Language

The inability to properly use language is not a new phenomenon. The ability to use to use language correctly, however, is rare. Going backwards in time, speeches by Ronald Reagan ("The Government is not the solution to the problem. It is the problem."), JFK ("Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."), MLK ("I have a dream..."), FDR ("...a day that will live in infamy"), Churchill ("Never have so many..."), Lincoln ("Four score and seven years ago...") are some of the best examples of being able to use the language properly to both convey truthfully and accurately an idea or principle; and, to inspire. That there is a paucity of those able to do so extemporaneously in this day and age is, I believe, a result of the impact of political correctness on the thought process and a failure of the education system to teach children traditional values and classical truths.

Some have hailed President Obama as a great orator but while he uses his voice effectively and can inspire when rehearsed, his inability to be accurate or truthful detracts and makes him nothing more than a common political hack talking down to the people he says he serves.

The linked article takes exception to the misuse of the word "tragedy" and it has, in truth, been misused much in the past few years. This is partly out of a belief that to be politically correct we must not cast aspersions and partly out of a failure of our education system to place "truth" at the apex of education. Instead "moral relativity" is placed at the apex to the detriment of not only the students but the nation as a whole. It is politically correct moral relativity that demands that we call 9/11 and Ft. Hood "tragedies" because the word conveys the sadness of the loss for those who died without casting an aspersion on the motive of those who were perpetrators. In truth, however, 9/11 was as FDR characterized the attack on Pearl Harbor, "...an unprovoked and dastardly attack..." and a massacre of innocent civilians. Ft. Hood was "a slaughter" of unarmed people by a murderous Islamist who committed an act of terror. Neither incident can truthfully be described as a tragedy, even though the families of the victims surely experienced the tragic loss of a loved one. Those who presume to be political leaders but who cannot fathom that the truth is more important than political correctness and moral relativity--which is actually a device that liberal-progressive-socialists use to justify actions that go against universal truths--do not deserve to be given the reins of leadership in our nation. This includes current and presumptive leaders of both parties.
