We all have a Guardian Angel.    

There are probably many explanations for this:  strong updrafts; loose clothes that acted to slow down his fall; even a landing area that was angled just perfectly to bleed-off the speed of his fall.  But those are just conjecture and this young man by all rights should be dead.  It is clear that sometimes our Guardian Angel receives instructions to save us from ourselves because God isn't finished with us yet.

Palin and the Blood Libel

Warning:  This women causes liberals to have nightmares!  (Now isn't that sweet?)  

Sarah Palin's use of the term 'blood libel' is still being trumpeted by the left as a major faux pas that is unsurpassed in the political history of the United States.  The left would love people to believe that and naturally, nothing could be further from the truth.

Jonathan Tobin writing for the Jewish World Review has addressed the issue and I'd like to say that it's now been put to rest.  Unfortunately, knowing the foaming-at-the-mouth ardor of the leftists when it comes to Palin, it is unlikely to stop.  Self-certified journalists like Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann will continue to raise the issue in tones that would suggest that a serious sin against God has been committed when in reality the only sin committed by Sarah Palin is that she literally scares the far left to death.  They are so fearful of her actually becoming President--and she's not yet running for the office--that they are wetting their beds at night in fear.  What are they afraid of you ask?  Simple.  She's the antithesis of everything that the left believes in.  She's a wife and mother who doesn't believe in abortion.  She has successfully run a state as the governor (don't bother jumping up and shouting that she resigned as that's a non-issue).  She displays uncommon common sense for a politician.  She can hunt, shoot a rifle or a shotgun and is comfortable helping butcher a deer, elk or caribou for meat.  She believes in God and is unafraid to say so.  She is a Conservative.  She has succeeded without the shrill screeches of the National Organization for Women (which really isn't unless the women are liberals who believe in abortion).  In other words, Sarah Palin does everything but pass the left's litmus test on what a successful woman is and that's why they hate her.

Somewhere deep in the brain of the liberals who attacked Sarah Palin lies the key to curing PDS.  Unfortunately, no one has ever found it.  

Had anyone but Sarah Palin used the term there would not be a discussion about this.  The liberal idiots--yes, they are idiots--who criticized her suffer from an offshoot of liberal psychopathology commonly called Palin Derangement Syndrome or PDS.

Unfortunately, there is no cure because the cause lies deep in a twisted intellect and medicine cannot treat it.  There is hope, however, because sometimes as a person ages he is able to grow-up and grow-out of the syndrome because it's seldom seen in the elderly; and when it is there is usually a lot of foaming at the mouth and other stupid statements that give notice that the individual has a terminal case.

David Limbaugh: Too many coincidences for the Bible to be mere fable

He died for our original sin that we may have everlasting life.  

The title of the story, in this case, is an understatement.

I recently had several long conversations with my son about Christianity and I must admit that I am not a Biblical scholar for much of the Bible I accept on faith and faith alone.  My son, who believes in God, has a hard time wrapping his arms around Jesus and asked me questions not to challenge me but to find out what I believed.  Unfortunately my lack of Biblical knowledge made it very difficult for me to articulate my beliefs for I am becoming a Christian at a rather late stage in my life.  I did start studying the catechism of the Catholic Church about 50 years ago but didn't complete it because I didn't want to upset my devout Nazarene grandparents.  And before that I attended Sunday school at the local Nazarene church but could not see following that faith after being told at a very young age by my Sunday school teacher that going to see "The Ten Commandments" was a sin.  After I quit going to catechism I began a long journey trying to find the water for which my soul thirsted.

In the interim 50 years I was nominally Christian without a baptism and then began following the Buddhist faith after spending 6 years in Thailand.  Still, I never stopped believing in Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior and there was an itch in my intellect that just would not stop.   In 2002 I married a cradle Catholic who didn't mind my professed Buddhism and loved me greatly. It wasn't until the birth of my youngest daughter in 2006--a blessing from Heaven and my cradle Catholic wife--and a fight with cancer that I realized that what I had perceived as an intellectual itch in my psyche was actually a void in my own soul.  It came as I carried out my promise to my wife that our daughter would be raised Catholic and I began attending Mass regularly.  I came to realize that during and immediately after those services, my itch subsided and was replaced with something peaceful...something that I wanted more of because it satisfied a thirst that had never been properly quenched.  I wanted it so much that earlier this year I began again taking the steps necessary for conversion to the Catholic faith.  Clearly, when you think about it, I am an extremely slow student for this spring when I finish, am baptized and confirmed as a Catholic it will have been about 50 years since I began attending Mrs. Haken's catechism class with one of my best friends, her son, Ron.  I now wonder how different my life would have been had I completed that class.  But that is yesterday and I can't worry about what I can't change.  By God's grace today is here and tomorrow promises to be even better.

The Bible is, of course, not a fabrication.  It is the truth as God revealed it to His church and God can neither deceive or be deceived.  It has stood the test of time and is still the Greatest Book ever written.  I recommend it for your daily reading.  And, son, I recommend that you read the attached article.

I wonder, did they open the Climate Change Conference in Cancun on the night of a full moon?  

The idiocy of the climate change fanatics is now clear for all to see.  Praying to the Mayan Moon goddess is proof positive that the push for climate change is more pagan worship than science.

I've said all along that the central goal of AlGore's Global Warming/Climate Change fraud is not the weather but money...your's and mine.  The central idea is to redistribute America's wealth--that which Obama, Reid and Pelosi haven't squandered, that is--to the third world.  Climate was only a vehicle for the creation of a new elite class of billionaires from the left.

That this is ridiculous goes without saying.  That there are people in our own government that take it seriously is frightening.

The Pope, in his homily at the Mass celebrated in Glasgow, used the phrase, "dictatorship of relativism." It is a perfect phrase, you might even say divinely inspired, to describe what we face in the United States today as the Obama Regime supported by Nancy "The Nanny" Pelosi and Dingy Harry Reid do their best to create a socialist state over the objections of We the People. They hold to no true moral compass at all. Obama shows that he is a Christian, albeit one who equates Christ's teachings with Karl Marx. Pelosi is a Catholic, albeit one who supports abortion. Reid is a Mormon, albeit one who has turned his back on the Constitution unlike his co-religionist, Glenn Beck.

The proffered religious beliefs of all three are really immaterial–yes, I am aware that there are those who say Obama is a secret Muslim and that, too, is immaterial–because it is not their religious beliefs that matter here. What matters is their purposeful drive towards a dictatorship of relativism where there is no moral compass to be followed. In their perfect world, the ruling elite–in other words, themselves–will decide what is moral and right. Do you want a Christian, a Catholic and a Mormon who can, through moral relativism, blindly support partial birth abortions making those decisions for you and your family? I realize that since 1930 a portion of the Christian Church condones abortion so Obama might be within the moral compass provided by his church but the Catholics and Mormons do not. (Did you know that before 1930 no Christian sect condoned abortion?) That's the liberal agenda and that's what will happen if this triumvirate returns to power in January. They shoved Obamacare with its death panels–yes, they are there to "control costs" just as they are in England–down our throats despite our vociferous objections. Do you want more? Remember that when you go to the polls in November.

I would not object to the building of a mosque any where else in Manhattan; however over-looking ground zero is the height of bad judgement...unless, of course, the mosque is named and dedicated, in both English and Arabic, in such a manner as to make it clear that it is being built there as an apology for the events on 9/11/01, as a reminder of the terrorism of that day and as an apology for it having been done in the name of Islam . Anything short of that is an insult to those who were murdered by the Islamic terrorists on that fateful day as well as an insult to the families of the victims and the people of the United States.

Unfortunately, I am sure that won't be the case. Anyone want to bet that it won't be looked upon as an apologetic symbol by the Muslims in the Middle East and South Asia? Anyone want to bet that the building of a mosque adjacent to that hallowed ground will make Osama bin Laden smile? Anyone want to bet that instead of reducing the tensions between Christians, Jews and Muslims, that the building of that mosque will exacerbate those tensions? Anyone want to bet that increasing those tensions is exactly the goal of those who wish to build the mosque there?

I'm sure that the purpose of the mosque is neither an apology for what happened on 9/11 nor a statement by the Islamic community that they condemn what happened. The mosque will probably have an English name that is basically bland. It's Arabic name will be something else, of course. Something like the "Mosque of Victory Over the Infidels" or the "Mosque Commemorating the Martyrdom of the Heroic 19" or the "Mosque of the Da'wah." 

And it is clearly a bad idea but a bad idea that is being moved forward on the slickly greased rails of "political correctness." It's not something that is protected by the 1st Amendment for the government and the people of the United States have a vested interest in preserving the sanctity of that location and denial of building permits for that location would not violate the intent of the Founders when they established Freedom of Religion as a tenant of our Constitution. Muslims are free to worship everywhere. But to build an edifice to Islam overlooking the site where, in the name of Islam, over 3,000 innocent men, women and children were murdered is as improper and insulting as it would be if the Japanese opened a gift shop at Pearl Harbor where they sold commemorative "Tora, Tora, Tora" banners or the Germans opened a gift shop next to Auschwitz where they sold lampshades.  The idea is as stupid as the people who support it being built.

To deny that the Christian faith played a leading, if not the leading, role in American history is to propagate a lie. Despite the effort by liberal-progressive-socialist judges to redefine the Constitution, the clear wording is understandable to anyone with an 8th grade education save, of course, lawyers. The 1st Amendment provides for the freedom of religion but doesn't say that religion must be expelled from all governmental activities. No where in the Constitution does it say anything about the separation of church and state. It only says that the national government shall not establish a state religion and says nothing about any requirement that there be no religion at all in government.

It is those who promote the solid wall that have the mental problem, incapacity if you will, to allow others to believe as they wish and to freely practice their own religion. There is even a special name for them in American English. They are called liberal-progressives. They have a strong bent towards an exceedingly large, socialist central government and a view that allows for the silencing of any beliefs other than their own. They can be from the Democrat Party or RINOs for the party doesn't matter as much as the extension of control over We the People. And liberal-progressives of both stripes bask in the idea that they are doing what is best because they are the ruling elite.

Both are equally dangerous to the Republic and should be avoided like the snakes that they are.

Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger who hoped to target the birthrate of what were, in her eyes, the undesirable races. From this founding on the basis of racism it has grown in its' evil intent and now feels strong enough for a direct attack on the family.

The idea of teaching 10-year olds about sex and masturbation is appalling for in teaching the subject the children are given the impression that it is OK for them to experiment with sex. This is a sick, sick idea and should be rejected out of hand.

Liberal-progressive-socialists love this organization and, of course, approve of the idea wholeheartedly. It is a direct attack on religious beliefs and it fits in with their program of taking the family apart and replacing it with the state.

This is an interesting article and it illustrates the unbending fanaticism of Islam that the Left Stream Media fails to report out of "political correctness."  It is not, as has been bandied about for a few decades, a religion of peace.  That is amply demonstrated by the frequency--approaching 100%--with which Muslims are involved as the perpetrators of acts of terror around the world.

Any thinking person knows that Islamic terrorism will not end until modern Muslim leadership throws out the rules that emanated from a barbaric 5th Century mentality and stamps out the beliefs based on that mentality.  Terrorism by Muslim fanatics will not end even if the Islamic-fascists achieve their stated goal of subjugating the entire world and making the entire population bow to Islam because they are only too willing to murder in the name of their religion.  So the only option is that they change.  Only then will there be peace.

Terrorism Barometer

The threat of terror has increased partially because, as the author of the linked article indicates, a desperation on the part of the terrorists themselves and partly because of the attitude of the current Administration.  Nothing draws the Administration's lackadaisical attitude toward Islamic Terrorism--aside from the fact that they won't call it for what it is--into sharper focus than the failures surrounding the Christmas "blunderware" bomber's non-detection and arrest.  The leader, in this case President Barack Obama, sets the tone for the government's attitude and demeanor towards any threat.  Clearly President Obama is an utter failure with his fawning attitude towards Islam.
