I've said all along that the central goal of AlGore's Global Warming/Climate Change fraud is not the weather but money...your's and mine.  The central idea is to redistribute America's wealth--that which Obama, Reid and Pelosi haven't squandered, that is--to the third world.  Climate was only a vehicle for the creation of a new elite class of billionaires from the left.

Now we know how the Democrats plan to win this year. The old fashioned Chicago Way, i.e., cheating.

I had read a couple of posts on the internet about the glitches in Clark County, Nevada, where Harry Reid's name was already checked when an early voter logged on to the machine. That did seem very odd but now we know why. SEIU Local 1107 which, by the way, strongly endorsed Reid, controls the ballot boxes in Clark County through their representation of the voting machine technicians who have the contract to maintain the machines. You will remember that SEIU has been supplying the "foot soldiers" or "muscle" for all the Democrat dirty work during the last few years. Things like beating up a black man who was selling Conservative buttons, flags and t-shirts or demonstrating in the front yard of a private home and frightening a child so badly that he locked himself in the bathroom while calling for help on the phone. Or throwing eggs at a bus-load of Conservative supporters on the way to a TEA Party rally in Searchlight, NV.

I second the motion in the linked article. There must be an investigation and the people responsible must be prosecuted if we are to maintain the sanctity of the ballot. Democrats will object to this, of course, because as Progressives they have a goal of destroying the ballot box through blocking citizenship checks during registration or the requirement for photo ID at the polls. This, however, is a bridge too far and should disgust every thinking citizen.

The link to this video was sent to me by Chuck, a boss from times gone by and an old friend still. It brought to mind the thought that America's freedoms are much like the Bald Eagle was at the time this video: Endangered. The Bald Eagle is now off the Endangered Species list but the freedoms paid for with the blood, sweat and tears of our Forefathers is not. We are under assault from without by those who would destroy our form of government and substitute a foreign theocracy that they alone control. We are under assault from within by those who would stupidly pervert our Forefathers words to mean that a socialist form of government was what they envisioned and what we need. We must continue to resist both for surrender is not an option.

Our military is actively engaged with the forces from without who would destroy this nation. This coming November 2 we will have an opportunity to push-back against the socialist encroachment fostered and led by Obama, Reid and Pelosi. As our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines do their job, let us do ours. Vote to rid the House and Senate of Neo-Libs and RINOs on November 2.

Nancy "The Nanny" Pelosi and the Neo-Lib Democrats in the House, the Senate and the Oval Office clearly demonstrated that while they are masters at political intrigue they have no true understanding of the Constitution. Indeed, Obama has said that it is an "imperfect" document. We cannot depend on any of these people to live up to their oaths of office so the sooner we use the power of our votes to remove them from the exercise of political power the better off our nation will be.

I don't expect that Pelosi will be defeated in her home bailiwick. San Francisco is, after all, the home of more idiots than any place in America. But with the November 2 election we will have taken the all important step of removing her from the power she enjoys as the Speaker of the House and with diligence on our part, she will never again occupy such a sensitive position. Harry Reid will likely be defeated in Nevada and that is a good thing. If we don't vote out enough Democrats in the Senate, however, then "Chuck-you" Schumer will likely be the Senate majority leader. That is not good for America as he is a craven leftist ideologue who loves being before the cameras. But if we don't take control of the Senate on November 2 we will certainly have a significant enough minority presence to stop any advancement of the über-left's agenda for Schumer will certainly try to advance those issues, like gun-control, that are near and dear to his heart.

November 2, you see, is only half the battle. We must then gird ourselves for two more years of political war against those who would love to subjugate us and make us their political and economic slaves. Until we send Obama packing on January 20, 2013, our freedoms will be under constant attack. The legal victory in Florida that is reported in the linked article is only one of many legal and political battles to come. We have much work to do and, God willing, we will be victorious and free in the end.

The Pope, in his homily at the Mass celebrated in Glasgow, used the phrase, "dictatorship of relativism." It is a perfect phrase, you might even say divinely inspired, to describe what we face in the United States today as the Obama Regime supported by Nancy "The Nanny" Pelosi and Dingy Harry Reid do their best to create a socialist state over the objections of We the People. They hold to no true moral compass at all. Obama shows that he is a Christian, albeit one who equates Christ's teachings with Karl Marx. Pelosi is a Catholic, albeit one who supports abortion. Reid is a Mormon, albeit one who has turned his back on the Constitution unlike his co-religionist, Glenn Beck.

The proffered religious beliefs of all three are really immaterial–yes, I am aware that there are those who say Obama is a secret Muslim and that, too, is immaterial–because it is not their religious beliefs that matter here. What matters is their purposeful drive towards a dictatorship of relativism where there is no moral compass to be followed. In their perfect world, the ruling elite–in other words, themselves–will decide what is moral and right. Do you want a Christian, a Catholic and a Mormon who can, through moral relativism, blindly support partial birth abortions making those decisions for you and your family? I realize that since 1930 a portion of the Christian Church condones abortion so Obama might be within the moral compass provided by his church but the Catholics and Mormons do not. (Did you know that before 1930 no Christian sect condoned abortion?) That's the liberal agenda and that's what will happen if this triumvirate returns to power in January. They shoved Obamacare with its death panels–yes, they are there to "control costs" just as they are in England–down our throats despite our vociferous objections. Do you want more? Remember that when you go to the polls in November.

I commented below on Reid's consummate ability to re-define the English language at will in order to ensure that while campaigning he is on the right side of any issue. This one, however, should begin: "Once upon a time...".

Harry Reid is a Neo-Lib Democrat politician (for the Libs out there that's very similar to a RINO politician) that only thirsts for political power. He could actually care less about what We the People think but every couple of years he has to pretend that he does. In this case his read of Reid history is, at best, laughable.  Harry, you see, believes that voters don't remember anything and will do as they are told.

Harry Reid might pass for a somewhat senile senior citizen if it weren't for the fact that he is the epitome of a political liar who believes that he is not accountable for anything said in support of a political position.  And if you try to hold him accountable it is akin to trying to hold on to a slippery eel and he will shamelessly redefine his words to mean the exact opposite of what he said and claim that he was only taking a position that would contribute to the national good.  He's doing that right now in his campaign for re-election as he redefines his infamous "This war is lost!" statement that gave succor to the enemy on the battlefields of Iraq to being the impetus that created the surge which he was unsuccessfully opposing.  The man clearly has no moral scruples when it comes to politics and political power; but he is, unfortunately, also not alone in that damning moral low-ground.

The NRA is, thankfully, holding him accountable for his actions, as opposed to his words, in supporting two, unquestionably anti-2nd Amendment, Obama Supreme Court nominees.  Reid is typical of Neo-Lib Democrats who say one thing then do another.  He has always said he supports the 2nd Amendment because that is politically popular in Nevada; but he helped put two über-liberal Supreme Court Justices with demonstrated antipathy to the 2nd Amendment through the confirmation process and they now sit on that Court with lifetime appointments.  If he truly supported the 2nd Amendment there is no way he would have voted for their confirmations.

So kudos to the NRA.  They should endorse Sharon Angle, of course, but at least they aren't endorsing one of the most despicable Senators in modern history.

The Department of Justice loses the first round!  This is a small step in the right direction for all Americans and the journey is sure to end at the Supreme Court where there will be, I predict, a 5-4 ruling in favor of Virginia.

Pelosi, Reid and Obama are sure to be dismayed by this ruling and even though they will put up a good face, you and I both know that they were hoping against hope that they could quash the Virginia challenge quickly so as to take the wind from the sails of the challenge in Florida.

The Neo-Lib Democrats know that DISCLOSE won't pass Constitutional muster but they don't care. They only want it in place for November and, given that the Supreme Court is on recess until the first Monday in October, the damage will be done even if the Supreme Court were to make a ruling on the very first day of its return. This is pure censorship and it's being done by Pelosi and Reid with the backing of the White House.

Contact your Senators today and tell them that they must vote "NO" on DISCLOSE. It is a direct assault on the 1st Amendment.

Rumors Abound that the NRA Might Support Harry Reid

There are rumors going around that the NRA plans to endorse Harry Reid in the Nevada race.  Clearly this is another case where the NRA is looking at the politics of the situation as opposed to the principles that are involved.  The political reason is clear:  Harry Reid has been a vocal proponent of the 2nd Amendment and should he not be elected he will likely be succeeded by Sen. Charles "Chuck You" Schumer, a very vocal opponent of the 2nd Amendment.  That is, if the Democrats can hold onto the majority in the Senate which, at the moment, is not guaranteed.

If they were to do that this would be the second time in this political season that the NRA placed politics over principle.  The first, of course, being accepting an exempt status in the DISCLOSE legislation that, having passed the House, is going before the Senate.  Many NRA members, me included, objected to that as we have always believed that the 1st Amendment was vitally important to protecting the 2nd Amendment and the DISCLOSE Act is definitely an assault on the 1st Amendment.  It's only purpose is to be in effect for the coming election so as to affect that election on behalf of Neo-Lib Democrats because it is sure to make its way to the Supreme Court where it will be thrown out before the 2012 election.  It is clear that the NRA accepted the exemption along with Neo-Lib friendly unions for political reasons rather than on principle.

Being wise to the political landscape is generally a good idea for any organization that lobbies and the NRA certainly does lobby.  But hedging bets in a struggle that, if lost, will definitely adversely affect the Constitutional rights of all Americans, is an egregious violation of principle.  And while the NRA may fair well as an organizational entity, Americans as a whole may not.

For my part, as a Life Member of the NRA, I sent the NRA the following message:

I am concerned about rumors flying around relative to the possibility that the NRA might endorse Sen. Harry Reid over Conservative nominee Sharron Angle in the Nevada Senate race.  I understand the political strategy that is being considered looks at who might be Harry Reid's successor should he not win if the Democrats retain control of the Senate and can agree that Chuck Schumer would be bad as he is not a 2nd Amendment supporter.  But we will always have to fight Schumer and his ilk over the 2nd Amendment and as long as we have Neo-Lib Democrats in office the fight will go on.

More important, however, is the overall composition of the Senate and the standing of the NRA as a proponent and protector of the 2nd Amendment and, indeed, the entire Constitution.  If we do not stand for the Constitution as a whole then we are sure to lose all our rights.  Harry Reid has shown himself to be a proponent of a socialist agenda that will eventually lead to an abrogation of the entire Bill of Rights or, even worse, a "redefining" of what is written in the Constitution.  He clearly showed that with his support of Justice Sotomayor who has already proven that she is firmly anti-2nd Amendment.  It’s no surprise, therefore, that he also supports Kagan who believes that the 2nd Amendment is outdated and wants to define it out of existence from the bench. 

That Reid says he supports the 2nd Amendment and the goals of the NRA is completely belied by his actions.  Better to have a vocal opponent who is battling us to our faces than one who puts his arm around us and hugs us while handing someone else the knife to stick in our backs.  

I urge the NRA not to endorse Harry Reid.  Endorse Sharron Angle.  She will stand up for us.  Besides, wouldn't it be a shame if the NRA's endorsement of Reid and his subsequent victory resulted in the Democrats retaining control of the Senate by a single member?

Stay principled.  Endorse the conservative candidate.

The Neo-Lib Democrats are fond of talking about "America's addiction to oil" and have begun shifting the blame for the oil spill to the American people. They want us to feel guilty about the oil spill so we will acquiesce to their Cap & Tax/Climate Control program like good little slaves. They want us to accept the punishment for our "addiction" in terms of higher taxes, higher energy costs, a lower standard of living and increased control of our daily lives by the Federal Government. That's what they want and that's the purpose of that phrase.

Not me.

I believe that the blame for BP blowout in the Gulf, insofar as the actual blowout is concerned, has yet to be determined. We do not know, but do suspect, that BP's standards were too low. We do not know if a supplier gave them a substandard part but that could have happened. We do not know if it was something that was caused purely by the depths at which they were trying to drill–although this is clearly not the real issue as Obama approved a $2 billion loan to Petrobras (think major Soros investment) for a well that is more than 3 times deeper off the coast of Brazil. No, the blame for the accident regardless of technical cause, lies directly and solely with environmentalist idiots who have pushed oil drilling out of areas where it can be done more safely and with less risk to the environment. The blame for the blowout lies with those who have a vision of a world where people just float through the air through the power of their brain and energy is garnered only from the sun. The blame for the blowout lies with Neo-Lib Democrat politicians, supported by some RINOs of course, who use fairy-tale environmentalists with visions of doom to advance their own political agenda of total government control by the ruling political class over a permanent underclass. That's where the blame lies! It lies with people like Al "the Overheated Poodle" Gore, John "I served in Vietnam" Kerry, Nancy "the Nanny" Pelosi, Harry "Screw the Country" Reid and Barry "I Will be King" Obama. It lies with those who see the control of the energy industry as a way to wealth and, above all, total political power.

It is not America's addiction to oil that is the problem. It is the Neo-Lib Left's addiction to power that is the danger. "America's addiction to oil" is a lie. It is nothing more that a focus-group-chosen phrase that the Obama Regime believes can be used to make Americans feel guilty enough to accept their draconian energy plan. Nothing more. Nothing less. It is part of their talking points and you can expect it to be trotted out almost daily if they see it working. And if it doesn't work or starts to grow thin on the ears of We the People, then they will come up with a new slogan or phrase, designed and chosen by another focus group, to make us willingly bow our heads and accept slavery.

As I said above, not me.

It would seem that the rosy picture painted of Obamacare was less than accurate. The CBO can only score that which is given to them. As the bill was hidden from We the People until after it passed it is reasonable to assume that parts of it were purposely not revealed to the CBO as well. That, and the accounting trickery (it would be outright fraud if it was done in the private sector) that the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats engaged in to make the bill cost less than $1 trillion, can explain how, all of a sudden, the CBO is not saying what We the People have been saying from day-1. The debt that the Obama Regime is running up is unsustainable and will cause the collapse of our Republic.  You can bet the Regime will use this as an excuse to raise our taxes in some manner.  Can you spell VAT?

That, of course, is what Obama, Reid and Pelosi are counting on.

People are starting to come to the same conclusion I did: The confrontations between the Tea Party protesters and the Democrats who marched purposely through the crowd from their offices to the House chambers were staged. Plan A was for someone in the Tea Party to actually do something really, really stupid. Absent that, however, the liberal-progressive-socialists who were on their way to steal freedom from all Americans had a Plan B. Plan B was simple: If the Tea Party activists don't do anything but yell, then we'll create an issue such as "hearing the 'N' word shouted from the crowd or stopping to get so close to them that the spittle that flies from many a shouting mouth hits us so we can claim we were spat upon. Don't worry, they thought, the compliant Left Stream Media will dutifully broadcast our being victims without questioning anything. Nobody will ask why we didn't use the tunnel we normally use so that we can avoid the crowds. Nobody will notice that we are purposely sticking the American people's nose in a pile of dog poop and telling them to get used to the smell.

The goal for the liberal-progressive-socialists was also simple: Retake the high-moral ground while they were stealing liberty from the people. They needed to be able to portray ourselves as the 'victims' in all this so that We the People wouldn't look too closely at what they were doing.

What is absolutely amazing is that despite the new transparency that was promised during the campaign by Obama and the rest of the liberal-progressive-socialist leadership and, which we all know never materialized (nor will it ever materialize), Plan A and Plan B were the most transparent, theatrically-staged ploys in the history of politics. And they failed for the simplest of reasons: The oh-so-smart Democrat leadership forgot that this is the age of camera phone videos, small video recorders and digital tape recorders and not one of the hundreds in use that day was able to catch even a hint of the 'N' word. (Just in case someone out there knows of one, Andrew Breitbart has offered a $10,000.00 reward for it.) And the video of the flying spittle shows only a man trying to shout and trying to make himself heard and not making the motions that would indicate he was trying to spit on a Congressman. Their perfect theatrical ploy was foiled by the ever present digital video camera.

You would think with all the support from Sean Penn, Barbara Streisand and the rest of the Hollywood left-wing, useful idiots that they would have run their script by a professional to ensure that it was plausible. I mean, what's the use of hanging around with Hollywood-types and training them to be lap-dogs if they can't help you perform when the time comes?

Whenever they take action there are always unintended consequences that they didn't anticipate and for which they won't accept responsibility. All that matters to them is that they were able to take the action which felt good. Collateral damage is not something they worry about because they will blame someone else for the damage and that will only give them the opportunity to enact more legislation about which they will, again, feel good.

The proof of this is in the linked story. And as you read it and contemplate the 2,500 people who will lose their jobs in already tough economic times, look at the joy on the faces of the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats.
