New Republic Writer Grudgingly Admits Marco Rubio a Great Speaker

Is Marco Rubio the future of the GOP?
New Republic Writer Grudgingly Admits Marco Rubio a Great Speaker

After watching his victory speech I began to wonder: Will Marco Rubio be the first Hispanic in the White House? Does he have what it takes? What do you think?

Or will the Neo-Lib Democrat Party savage him as they have all other Hispanics who dared to step forward without their permission. Make no mistake about it, Democrats only care for ethnic groups during elections. The rest of the time they give them lip-service until the next election and soundly attack and disparage any who might think for themselves and be conservative.

The Stakes in the Midterm Elections: Are We Citizens or Subjects?

The Stakes in the Midterm Elections: Are We Citizens or Subjects?

This is an excellent read using historical context to show just how Progressives have perverted the original intent of the Constitution in their efforts to create a perfect socialist state. As we can now see in Europe, the very area that Obama seems to idealize for its nanny-state governments, socialism and nanny-stateism just does not work. Of course, our Forefathers understood this all too well when they conceived the Constitution and clearly, from reading the Federalist Papers and significant writings of the early Framers, put in what they believed to be safeguards in the Constitution that limited the Federal Government. Unfortunately over the decades those safeguards have been under constant assault and significantly subverted by Progressives in Congress, the White House and the Courts through imaginative manipulation of the very language in which they were written by redefining the words and reinterpreting phrases to suit their own goals. As this article clearly points out, they have managed to do that which our Forefathers tried to prevent and in doing so have set us on the self-destructive path of socialism which leads to the title question: Are we Citizens or are we Subjects?

We reaffirm our citizenship on November 2, and in 2012 and 2016 we have the opportunity to finish the job by expelling remaining Progressives, on both the right and the left, from the White House, Senate and House of Representatives.

Follow the link for my recommended reading of the day.

And be sure to vote on November 2. It's time to send out some pink slips along with a strong message that we will not be dictated to by a nanny-state.

Why November is Important

The doctor will see you now.
Obama can recess appoint Berwick, but a GOP-led Congress doesn't have to fund his position | Washington Examiner

We know that Donald Berwick admires the British National Health Care System, especially its not so nice NICE, to the point of giddy, teenage infatuation. We know that Donald Berwick believes that for any national health care system to be effective it must be accompanied by a redistribution of wealth.

But we don't have to provide him an office or a salary despite his recess appointment. We don't have to give him money for a staff to implement Obamacare despite its partisan passage through Congress.

That's why November is so very, very important. We cannot let the Democrats continue majority rule in the House and Senate. We must, and will, get out the vote.

Will Senate Democrats Stifle Free Speech?

Will Senate Democrats Stifle Free Speech?

The Neo-Lib Democrats know that DISCLOSE won't pass Constitutional muster but they don't care. They only want it in place for November and, given that the Supreme Court is on recess until the first Monday in October, the damage will be done even if the Supreme Court were to make a ruling on the very first day of its return. This is pure censorship and it's being done by Pelosi and Reid with the backing of the White House.

Contact your Senators today and tell them that they must vote "NO" on DISCLOSE. It is a direct assault on the 1st Amendment.

U.S. Parkland Bordering Mexico, Shut Since 2006, Remains Off-Limits As Violence Escalates

Can you say "FAIL?"

The Preamble of the Constitution says, in part, "to provide for the common defense."  Since 1986 the Federal Government has essentially ceded to criminals a large portion of the border with Mexico.  This is clearly a failure of the Federal Government and should be addressed immediately.

No country can hope to survive if it cannot control its borders and the lack of will shown by Washington, DC, is appalling at best and criminal at worst.  Those responsible, and they come from both political parties, should be ashamed–and shamed–by the citizenry of the nation.  This is an outrageous insult to all Americans and must be corrected.

Of course, under Obama about all we can expect is the appointment of another "independent commission" charged with studying the matter.

Then write your Representative and Senators about this outrage.  They are as responsible as anyone else for this major "FAIL."

From Eloquent Advocates to Boorish Hacks

This is the type of Senator that we get courtesy of the 17th Amendment.

From Eloquent Advocates to Boorish Hacks

An excellent piece on why the 17th Amendment should be repealed. And the sooner the better because our Founders had it right the first time.

Another Democrat Who has Problems with the Truth

Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But, then, I repeat myself. -- Mark Twain

Unfortunately, Richard Blumenthal is all too typical of the neo-liberals, or liberal-progressive-socialists, who are now in control of the Democrat party.  The meaning of truth escapes them as they drive for power so they can control the destiny of We the People.

Clearly, Blumenthal is ethically challenged and I would question if he is fit for any type of public office let alone the United States Senate.

Oh, it's the third paragraph.  Did I mention he is a Democrat?  The New York Slime didn't mention it until the third paragraph so I waited to say it until then, too.

Also, there is no word on whether or not he was being coached by Senator John Kerry, another "distinguished" Vietnam veteran who is documented as having troubles with the truth.

Sen. Bob Bennett ousted at Utah GOP convention - Washington Times

Sen. Bob Bennett ousted at Utah GOP convention - Washington Times

This is as it should be. Those who went to Washington and became not the solution but part of the problem should be ousted.

Of course that means everyone regardless of party affiliation. They–the incumbents–all participated in the debacle that we now have to endure and they should all be sent home and only in that way can we try to change Washington. There are those who will say, "That's just not practical. We can't turn them all out at once!" and off course that is true. It wouldn't be practical especially if it came from only one side. What I'd like to see is all current incumbents resign and run in the next election for their own seats. If they be honorable men and women, given the current approval rating of the House and Senate, that would be the right thing to do, wouldn't it? Then they could actually say, if re-elected, that they had passed the test of the electorate.

I know they won't do it. They will cite all sorts of reasons why it isn't possible or practical but what it really boils down to is that they don't want to face We the People. They know they've made a mess of things and those Senators who don't face re-election this year aren't about to put their names on the line because they are afraid of the results. But think of what would happen if, for argument's sake, only one party did that. All the GOP Senators stepped forward and, facing re-election or not, tendered their resignation saying, "We pledge to follow the Constitution, move rapidly towards a smaller government and cut government spending and taxes if we are re-elected and we're putting our office on the line to prove our pledge. Re-elect us and that's what we shall do."

I wonder what the voters would do?

Can Townsend Beat Cheerleader Chuck?

Can Townsend Beat Cheerleader Chuck?

Can you imagine the joy? Chuck-u Schumer actually unemployed? Oh, my! Oh, me! What a great day for America that would certainly be. Few Senators are more arrogant or as far to the left save for Bernie Sanders, of course, who in a fit of truthful sanity took the label "Socialist." (His honesty is, at least, refreshing given that it is Washington.) Schumer reminds me of the type of man you wouldn't want to buy a car from. And when I see him I keep wondering if he shouldn't be on some sort of registry so that other people would know that he lives in the area. But that's just me. To most other people he's just plain disgusting.

Teddy’s Temple: A Taxpayer-Funded Shrine to Leftism

Teddy's Temple: A Taxpayer-Funded Shrine to Leftism

This is truly an abomination and an insult to the majority of Americans. If the liberal-progressive-socialist Democrats want to honor Teddy "Don't Worry, I'll Drive" Kennedy then they should raise the money for this among themselves. To presume that they can raid the U.S. Treasury to honor the drunk that lived off the family name made famous by his older brothers is more than just wrong, it's bordering on criminal.

Mary Jo Kopechne couldn't be reached for comment.

American Thinker: It's the Constitution that's Radicalizing Our Politicians

American Thinker: It's the Constitution that's Radicalizing Our Politicians

Here's an argument for returning to the basics by repealing the 17th Amendment.  I must admit, having Senators elected directly by the people has not worked all that well.  It's watered down the Senate and made Senators little more than a Congressman with longer terms, greater greed and a strong dose of hypocrisy.  All in all it's a good read.

Congressional "Free" Travel Not Free to Taxpayers

And we wonder where Representatives and Senators get the idea that they can spend, spend and spend some more! They've been spending so long it's become, in their eyes, their right. Imagine having a bank account set up to automatically refill when it's empty. That's what Congress set up decades ago while We the People were busy working, taking care of our families, being productive and trusting our Representatives and Senators to be honorable in their work. Clearly they were about as honorable as Bonnie and Clyde and had the same larcenous intent.  And that intent has changed in the ensuing decades from petty larceny to rape, pillage and plunder which is what we have today with the liberal-progressive-socialists in control.

Fortunately, since the installation of the Obama Regime, and with their forcing unwanted legislation into law over the objections of a majority of the citizenry, We the People have awakened. It's time to put a stop to Congress's attitude that they never have to worry about their budget. It's time to tell them to stay home and work or find another job.  It's time to send them a message by sending them all home in defeat.
