Why the Black Panther Case Matters

There has been no more egregious failure to uphold the mission of the Department of Justice in its history than the handling of the New Black Panther Case by Attorney General Eric Holder.  Actually, I should say non-handling for Holder has purposely failed in his duties and is a disgrace to a legal profession that already has a notoriously low standard for conduct.

The man, if he had any honor, would resign.  But we all know that he is committed to protecting his boss and those who support his boss.  To do so requires that he ignore justice and act only on politics.

Dispute over New Black Panthers case causes deep divisions

"We are in power and our peeps at Justice and the White House won't let anything happen to us."

In an article that can't be good news for the Obama Regime and especially Eric Holder, the Washington Post belatedly delves into the disgraceful handling of the New Black Panther case by the Department of Justice.

What is shocking is that the WaPo has actually written a fairly middle-of-the-road article and did some research that supports the testimony that was given before the U.S. Civil Rights Commission.  It clearly doesn't favor Holder or the White House and surprisingly it comes less than two weeks before an election where things don't look good for the liberal left.

It is, of course, way too early to say that the WaPo has seen the light and is returning to the center-left editorial policy that once made it a must read if you wanted to know what was happening in Washington, DC.  But still, it is refreshing to see some actual reportage coming out of that paper, albeit many, many months late.

The real racism in 21st century America is embodied in the economic enslavement of generations of minority voters through government giveaways in return for their continued support of the Democrat Party. It is as shameful as the Democrat refusal to pass the Civil Rights Act in 1957. It is as shameful as the race-baiting hucksters who profit by their continued exploitation of race as a political issue.

Isn't it time that we start judging people on their character rather than the color of their skin? Isn't it time that we quit creating poverty for generations of minority voters in order to perpetuate the political power of the Democrats? Isn't it time that we realized that racism is a two-way street and that the hucksters who line their pockets while allegedly standing-up for their race are not hoping for an end of racial animosity but to perpetuate it for their own benefit.

Ex-DEA chiefs: Obama should sue over Calif. pot legalization just like Ariz. immigration law

This is the attitude that the Neo-Lib Democrats support and spread.  You know this guy will vote Democrat in November.

While the headline of this story talks of my former agency (of which I am very proud) the story is really about the hypocrisy of the Obama Regime and, in particular, Attorney General Eric Holder.  Holder, an abject failure who if he had the integrity that his office requires would resign, got all "wee-wee'd up" about the Arizona immigration law and sued to maintain "federal supremacy."  On California which is proposing to legalize possession of up to 1 oz. of marijuana  in direct conflict with federal law (21 USC), ehhhh, not so much.

As this article from the normally liberal LA Times points out, the failure of the federal government to react to California's assertion that state law should trump federal law shows clearly that the action against Arizona is not about federal supremacy at all but is based on political motives.  That the LA Times reported this is surprising but anyone with common sense could have told you that months ago.  Governor Jan Brewer, a Republican, is doing nothing more than her Democrat predecessor (DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano) advocated when she was governor.  The only difference is the politics and the gut need of the Neo Libs in the Obama Regime to play racial politics in the same manner as Lyndon Johnson did in his efforts to pass the same Civil Rights Act, albeit a watered down version, that he successfully blocked when it was proposed by President Eisenhower.  Johnson, a southern Democrat, didn't force the Civil Rights Act through Congress because of a change of heart but, as is clearly shown by his own words to two southern governors flying with him aboard Air Force One, he knew by doing so the black community would "vote Democrat for the next 200 years."  (Actually, if you read the quote, he used the "N" word in describing the black community.)  So far LBJ has been shown to be correct but only because the Democrats have economically enslaved a large portion of that group through the enactment of welfare programs that make them dependent on Neo-Lib Democrat supported governmental largess.  (It also helps that they have dumbed-down education in large metropolitan–read black–areas with the help of the Democrat-created public sector employee unions, but that's another story.)

Thinking people have already seen that the Obama Regime's actions are political in nature and designed to benefit the Regime rather than the nation.  The suits against Arizona and Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who interestingly enough retired from DEA, are based in Chicago thug politics and deserve not only to fail but should do so before the Supreme Court in straight 9-0 votes.  America deserves better than such thuggery.

The other is comparatively young but has made its mark solely by adopting highly partisan, highly political resolutions. Neither has the best interests of the nation in mind; but only want to advance their own political future which they believe is tied to the current Neo-Lib Democrat, Washington Regime. Neither is telling the truth in this matter.

EDITORIAL: Media blackout for Black Panthers Explosive racist allegations ignored by poodles in the press

Note: Despite the reference to “poodles” in the Washington Times headline, AlGore is not mentioned in this editorial.

What is mentioned is the total lack of transparency and adherence to the law that was promised by Obama when he ran for President. I remember his speech when he used the phrase, “…words, just words…” and it is clear to me that in his case, they were words, just words. By allowing Eric Holder to act in such a capricious legal manner, Obama has failed to live up to the oath of office that he so famously took with his hand on Abraham Lincoln’s Bible on January 20, 2009. In other words, Obama lied.

And now the Department of Justice is politicizing the law and using it as a bludgeon against those who oppose Obama or threaten his power and a shield for those who break the law while supporting Obama.

Bartle Bull reacts to former DOJ attorney on Black Panther case "Obama is a hustler"

My good friend, Gary at fousesquawk (garyfouse.blogspot.com) brought this to my attention as I was out and missed Megyn Kelly’s interview with Bartle Bull, a Civil Rights activist whose history in the civil rights movement goes back to the 1960s. He is one of the true patriots of the civil rights movement and put his life on the line then to ensure that all Americans could vote. I’ve no doubt that he would do the same today and for the petty thugs of the New Black Panther movement to think that they could intimidate him is laughable.

Eric Holder is the Attorney General who is responsible for this travesty. He is clearly a disgrace to the office of Attorney General and to the law. Barack Obama has obviously given the green light to Holder thus shares that disgrace. What we are seeing is a true picture of the Neo-Lib Democrats and their disdain for the law unless it can be used to bolster their political agenda. In other words, they have taken The Chicago Way national. The Left Stream Media, i.e., the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, have all abdicated their responsibility to report this outrage and ensure that the American public is fully informed. They thus share in the disgrace.

The question still stands unanswered. What did the President know and when did he know it? Until Eric Holder is fired or impeached–and I’m betting on the latter–we are unlikely to get an answer.

Isn’t it time you wrote your Representative and Senators and told them to ask the question?

Mexico Joins Suit Against Arizona's Immigration Law, Citing 'Grave Concerns'

Ok, Presidenté Calderon, it's not all that hard to understand this map. 

I, too, have grave concerns but strictly about the inability of Mexico to respect the sovereignty of the United States. I remember when I was assigned with DEA in Laredo, Texas, in the late 1980’s there were several occasions where uniformed Border Patrol Agents on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande were fired upon by uniformed, but unidentified, individuals standing in Mexico. On at least one of these occasions the bullets were close enough that the Border Patrol Agents, acting in their own self-defense, returned fire so that their assailants would have to take cover which would allow them time to get to safety further away from the banks of the river. The very next day the Mexican Consul in Laredo was lodging a loud and strident protest that Americans had fired weapons into Mexico. When told that they were returning fire at people who were shooting at them he refused to accept the complaint insisting only that Mexican sovereignty had been violated. The professional law enforcement officers in Laredo at the local, state and federal levels all viewed that Consul, an official of the Mexican government, with disgust. He clearly was either stupid or in the pay of the criminals but what he did was with the approval of the central Mexican government and reflected their policy not his own.

So now Mexico has decided to sue Arizona in U.S. Courts as a result of the Arizona law. Total chutzpah that, but it is in line with the thinking south of the border especially now that they see a President in the U.S. that favors open borders. The problem is that they are using the U.S. Court system, something we cannot do in Mexico, to sue a state government. The gut reaction of most Americans to this is absolute anger so on one level it was a stupid decision by the Mexican government. Nothing new in that, but clearly this will not calm down the feelings of Americans who feel besieged in their own country. Instead, it will increase the anger of We the People towards our neighbors to the south which really isn’t a good thing for either country. I think that floating around in the small, twisted mind of the dwarfish Mexican leader Calderon, is the idea that the Norté Americanos will always have Obama as a ruler, or at least one just like him, and that Obama’s decisions will not be rolled-back. That such an idea is stupid is obvious. That it flourishes in small-minded politicians who are used to making money with their hands out for any money offered is clear. The last thing that the Mexicans want is a stop to the illegal immigrants and drugs going north and the money going south and they’ll do and say anything they can to keep the human and drug smuggling enterprises intact.

One solution that would help is reciprocity. Reciprocity has long been used in diplomatic circles as a way to ensure that each nation is given the same respect and treatment as each other nation with which it has diplomatic relations. It’s actually very simple: What you do to our diplomats we do to yours. If you restrict the travel of our diplomats we restrict the travel of yours. If you restrict the housing of our diplomats we restrict the housing of yours. A very simple practice that keeps relationships between nations, at least at a diplomatic level, equal.

Maybe it’s time to put reciprocity into practice in our relationship with Mexico. We can start with property rights and should immediately notify the Mexican government that as American citizens cannot buy ocean front property in Mexico, Mexican citizens may not own ocean front property in the U.S. and have 90 days to dispose of any that they have. After all, our government through Fannie and Freddie has been helping illegal immigrants, with a purposeful "blind eye" towards their immigration status, to achieve the American dream for years so they should do the same or lose the privilege.

When it comes to political activity, Americans, on pain of criminal prosecution, jail time and deportation, are not allowed to protest political actions by the Mexican government in Mexico. We need to do the same to any Mexican national who dares to protest on our streets carrying a Mexican, or any other, flag. They should be arrested, jailed and deported in the exact same manner as what the Mexican government would do if Americans protested in Mexico City. Seem fair, does it not?

On the crime front, Mexican officials facilitate the smuggling of drugs to Mexico. We should reciprocate with a reduction in aid going south to Mexico commensurate with the value of the drugs going north. Seems right to me and, I am sure, most other Americans. I mean, we’re not about to require our officials to become corrupt and take bribes just to facilitate criminal activity going south of the border as they do with the criminal activity coming north so the only way to address it is with aid.

Also, if Mexico does not want its citizens arrested and deported when they travel north in violation of our law, then they must allow American citizens to go south and work at will in Mexico, living, having anchor babies, starting small businesses and sending profits back to the United States. And any Mexican policeman who dares to stop a Norté Americano because of their nice clothes, good shoes and fair skin should be immediately pilloried in the Mexican press, fired from his position and jailed for racial discrimination, profiling and a violation of human rights. And his superiors should be liable to a civil lawsuit where they will have to pay damages and fines. That’s what they want here so they should offer it there, right?

Good ideas, right? You can bet neither government will think so. Unfortunately, if reciprocity such as this is mentioned, government officials on both sides of the border pale. Reciprocity, you see, is something that is reserved for diplomats and cannot be extended to all citizens. To do so is just...just...unthinkable!

But why not? Especially when the current system works to the detriment of U.S. citizens in their own country. Especially when Americans are being held hostage to violence exported from south of the border.

And Felipé, step up on a foot stool and look at the picture above closely. It shows you a map of your country (the green one) and a map of the country that belongs to We the People. Study the map, Senõr Calderon. We’re getting tired of you thinking that what is ours is yours.

We have a better idea.  Go home and work for it there.  If your own country isn't free enough for you, change it like our Forefathers did.  We'll even let you copy our Constitution!  But don't think that you will come here and just take over. 

DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, Which Did Not Prosecute New Black Panthers, Is ‘Conscience’ of Nation - Holder

If the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice is the "conscience" of the nation,  Eric Holder clearly doesn't believe the nation has much of a conscience.  Considering the refusal of Holder to prosecute the New Black Panthers for violating the civil rights of voters in Philadelphia through intimidation, there is not conscience at all.

Of course, Holder is arguably the worst Attorney General in the history of the nation.  If he had any character he would have resigned long ago.  That he hasn't tells us that he is only interested in pushing an agenda that has nothing to do with justice.
