The Ministry of Wellness

The Ministry of Wellness

A view from a small business owner on the impact of Obamacare. This article points out that some things that sound so nice in Washington are so stupid when they get outside the Beltway.

The Democrats know this but don't care. They aren't doing it for the nation but for themselves.

American Thinker: Is Obama Really at War with a 'Network of Violence'?

American Thinker: Is Obama Really at War with a 'Network of Violence'?

A "network of violence" is a liberal-progressive-socialist euphemism for Islamic Terrorism. Calling them a "network of violence" is a lot like calling the Mafia a "boy's club."

Our president and his speech writers suffer from a detachment from reality that is all too common in liberal-progressive-socialists (commonly called Democrats these days).

American Thinker: Berkeley's Unbearable Whiteness of Science

Just when you thought that liberal-progressive-socialists couldn't be more asinine in their thinking, along comes the Berkeley High School Governance Council to prove you wrong. This is almost too stupid to be true but true it is. Imagine, just because one group of students, who happen to be identified as a racial minority, don't flock to science classes but white students do, they will cut those classes. Now extend the logic across the broad spectrum of education and the athletics tied to educational institutions and see where it leads.

We all know that sometimes in board, or "Governance Council," meetings across the land some really stupid ideas are brought to the table by an individual. In an intellectually healthy environment, these are quickly identified as being pointedly stupid and put in the trash where they belong with no serious consideration or discussion. But not in Berkeley.

Absolutely and amazingly ridiculous.

Heroin for Dummies - New York Post

This idiocy has got to be an idea from a liberal-progressive-socialist.  No thinking person would use government money to print instructions on the safest way to use a drug that kills.

POLITICO: Brennan: Deal 'on the table' for terror suspect - POLITICO Live - Brennan: Deal 'on the table' for terror suspect

This is interesting. I mean, I want to get this right. A terrorist just barely fails to murder almost 300 innocent civilians and he's being offered a deal? This is being tough on terrorism?

I wonder what kind of deal they'd offer if he'd succeeded? The idiocy of making deals with terrorism is probably clear to everyone but liberal-progressive-socialists. That group smugly feels that they can make deals with terrorists and the terrorists will keep their part of the bargain.

How wrong they are.

2010 situation grows difficult for Dems - Washington Times

"If all you have to offer is an attack on the performance of your predecessor, then you offer nothing at all." Papa Bill - 2010

The Democrats have clearly shown that they wish to be the ruling political elite that dictates to the proletariat rather than the representatives of the people. They (and this includes every last one, regardless of party, who voted for the stimulus, allowed the take-over of the car companies and voted for Obamacare) deserve to be sent home in disgrace at the earliest possible moment...like when they next face re-election.

Obama adviser: No 'smoking gun' in bombing plot - Washington Times

Obama adviser: No 'smoking gun' in bombing plot - Washington Times

I've never thought that John Brennan was not fully competent in his position until now. The one absolute fact in intelligence work, be it for drugs or terrorism, is that the chances of being handed a piece of intelligence that is what he described as a "smoking gun" is about the same as winning the Mega Lotto. That's a chance of about 1 in 175,000,000. Now several people win that prize every year but that doesn't mean that it is easy to do. Intelligence is less having the eureka moment and finding the smoking gun than it is about diligently and thoroughly gathering all available information, assessing it and ensuring that it is disseminated to those who have need of it. That is the problem with this intelligence failure. The laissez faire attitude of the current administration with its' "man-made disaster syndrome" has quickly and clearly infected all levels of the executive branch to include the intelligence services. I mean, if the President and his advisors don't seem concerned about terrorism and a war on terrorism then why should the rank-and-file?

Don't get me wrong, we have excellent career intelligence people that work diligently to protect us daily. But when the top echelon is purposely decreasing the emphasis from a war-footing to a law enforcement problem then things just don't get passed as quickly. War is something that carries with it the urgency needed for protection and survival of the nation. Law enforcement, while important, can wait until tomorrow morning because we have to wait until they commit the crime before we can act. (That's except for DEA, of course, which has an excellent legacy of pro-active law enforcement.)

So in my book, John Brennan has shown himself to be just another political hack that is covering for his boss.

It is my sincere hope that President Obama will soon awaken to the fact that Islamo-fascists hate America not because of anything that we've ever done to them but because in their 12th-century mentality, we have not submitted to Islam and become their dhimmis.  He should quit apologizing to the world--we owe the world no apologies--and start protecting America.
